  1. Idk what's wrong someone said possible nitrogen toxicity but I don't think so she has brown spots on two of her leaves there curling inward and some of the other leaves show discoloration dark green and almost a light green on the leaves but not all of them just used grow big from fox farm last watering but only did a teaspoon in a gallon half more then what I did two waterings ago

  2. I'm thinking it's a potassium difficiency. A quick search yielded confirmation of your symptoms... curling leaves, brown scorching etc.

  3. Thank you for your help now I'm gonna go save my plant!

  4. You betcha! Best of luck to you. If you have any other questions, look me up... I'm always willing to try and help.

  5. Actually if you would help with one other problem it's with my seedling

I will have to re-read that second issue... but I wanted to note, regarding the potassium difficiency... now that you know the problem, you need to identify the cause. I always suspect lock out first... If the cause goes un-identified, it will only get worse. Essentially, even though you are providing potassium, if it's in lock out, it won't uptake and will not get any better.

Now I'll read the other issue a bit better.

  7. My opinion... I think you hit it on the head.

I would be thinking nute burn also. Is the mix suitable for seedlings? You should have no nutes at all right now as the cotyledons are providing everything a young plant needs. Only as the cotyledons start yellowing should you start very light feedings.

One thing I include from the first day with my water is a teaspoon per gallon of unsulfured molasses. Plants love it!

If the Fox Farm soil is not intended for seedlings... I would consider a gental transplant into soil that is. I found Miracle Grow seedling soil works, I also mix in with it a bag of worm castings.

You can get get the soil at any lawn and garden center. And the castings are available at any local nursery.

Unless symptoms change, that is how I would treat it.

Also, using distilled water is a smart choice to consider. You can pick up a gallon for .75 at Walmart.

  8. Wow lots of great information and help so for the potassium deficiency should I test the ph of the soil or water and should I flush with ph'd water? And for the seedling no the soil is not meant for seedlings so it's probably the problem and I will transplant and see how it goes but why isn't my other seedling showing any of these symptoms? There in the exact same conditions

  9. Testing the ph of runoff water will help you know for sure if the nuts are kicking the babies ass lol. Are the other seedlings all the same strain? Genetics may also play a part in why some are reacting and some aren't.

I usually use recycled soil from my previous grow for seedlings since it's not jam packed with fresh nuts.

  10. Yes there both the same strain one sprouted probably 3 days before the other which is way bigger by now but as I look at the leaves they are starting to show the start of the same thing but I'm thinking that the older seedling is big enough now to just grow in the soil it is now without having the same problem since it has more root development my younger seedling the one in the picture is having slow growth compared to the other the pictures I used aren't recent 3 days old provably the problems have progressed more on each of the plants and is looking worse no clue what to do even my oldest plant is starting to show signs of leaf burning and twisting I blame this on fox farm soil never buy that brand again well maybe light warrior for the whole grow and just use nutes but I'm thinking of just making my own soil it's probably better less stress full lol
Oh and I can take new pictures of the plants If you want I just don't want to lose every plant I have I would hate to start over ):

  11. For sure, my first grow I used Fox Farm and lost 3 of my 4 plants 4 weeks before harvest from a random illness. Nobody could figure out what it was and eventually I figured out (or at least think I did) that it was rust mold from some jacked soil.

So I switched over to the 420 Recipe soil and have less pests and issues. Plus they have actinivate in the soil which helps prevent and rid diseases before they can get started.

    Pictures always help

  12. Regarding treating potassium deficiencies... You can flush with regular tap water, as long as your water is good. I prefer not too, simply because I have a softener and I don't want that in my mix.

However, if you don't have any problems with your water supply... it should be okay.

I prefer distilled water as it is free from impurities.

Now assuming your container has proper drainage, take a gallon of room temperature water and slowly add it to your container. Use all of it... it won't hurt your plant, it will make one hell of a mess though.

At this point you can test the Ph of your run off, collect a couple drops and check.

Wait about 10 minutes. ( If you were giving nutes, here is where you would use them.) I use 1 teaspoon of molasses.

  13. You might have a seed issue as far as the growth differences. One seed might have been older or more damaged than the other.

  14. If you're locked out a good flush should put you back in line, from there your plant will uptake it as it should.

As I noted any damage that has been done, such as necrotic spots cannot be undone. However future growth should be monitored for symptoms.

Moving on, your others... you may be fine just giving the soil a solid flush to remove any nutes. You're nearly ready to start giving them some anyway. I would read the package and see what the NPK ratios are and if it produces time released ferts.

  15. These are the pictures they have gotten worse hope the bigger one doesn't die cause I know it's a female for sure ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1406556436.264041.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1406556450.380119.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1406556460.863235.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1406556472.246728.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1406556486.346758.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1406556499.563493.jpg

  16. What are your temp/humidity levels at?

  17. There isn't humidity in the grow room I could never figure out how to bring it up and my temps on average range between 75-80 I have 4 100w cfls in there by the way

  18. They look possibly overwatered...what's your watering schedule?

  19. Every 4-5 days but that one may look overwatered because I just flushed her the other day hoping it would help

  20. Oh ok, then overwatering isn't your problem. Usually curling leaves is a heat issue. Do you have a fan on those 4 CFL's?
