I have made my share of homemade bongs and such, and over the years i have seen my fair share of stupidity when it comes to DIY. I'm here to post some tips to help the news guys. 1. Zebra pens are your best friend When i was a poor high school stoner, me and my friends would go buy some zebra pens and use them as pipes! the middle section is a stainless steel tube and you can get them at most places.just make sure to completely hollow it out as there is a plastic lining on the inside. we used to use the pen tip as a bowl but it is a bad idea because it is made of some inferior alloy that could produce fumes. 2.E-cigs are useful even when they run out I picked up the habit of vaping and i started off with one of those cheap $9 ones you can buy.I think the brand was H2o?Anyways, when they run out, you can strip the internals out, remove the sticker/wrapper, and voila! 1 long, stainless steel downstem that i STILL use in my bong. 3. Never use adhesives to make a seal. it is a really bad idea to use either glue or tape to make seals on bongs and stuff. they WILL melt and you don't want to inhale that shit. That's some serious lung damage. If you insist, use electrical tape. it's semi waterproof and heat RESISTANT. Not heat PROOF. 4. Aluminum foil is bad Even though it can be used in the oven, it can emit fumes if heated very hot, like with a lighter. If you do use it, put small amounts in the bowl so the cherry doesn't heat it up too much. 5. Brass is good As long as you can find some pure brass, you can use that as a bowl. if you're not sure, don't bother. they sell brass at headshops.
Yea very good tips.. i made this dope-ass bong but it got ruined after the first session.. Lets just say i learned #3 the hard way..
