Random And Periodic Company Drug Testing: True Or False

    What's up blades...long time toker here that's been on a few month hiatus to pass the usual pre-employment drug tests for the career I'm working towards. Problem is, I just got an offer  and in the fine print of the offer I saw the following:
    "Company reserves the right to conduct random and periodic drug and alcohol testing during the term of your employment." 
    Please note that this is a degreed job in a specialized field (not trying to boast...just wanna give the facts). Additionally, another company I'm interviewing for lists in their code of conduct the following: "Company reserves the right to conduct drug and alcohol/alcohol testing including random testing, to ensure...."
     
    My question is, from your experience do companies actually go through with these random or even worse, periodic testing. Again please note this is not a min wage job, its a specialized job. The companies I am talking about are very large. Any blades with experience in this sort of situation have any thoughts?

    Yes they do if job can cause you or others immediate or direct harm. Also how strict it is, goes by how the management personally feels on issue. Note the recent Supreme Court ruling in regards to Hobby Lobby, and the right for a company to have same rights as a person. This is bull shit. So to answer question, it is relative, to job you work, and state you live in.

    I was wondering if anyone has any personal experiences where a company says they do periodic and random drug tests, but never follow through...
