Soil Ph Staying Too High?/ Suggestions?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by robmcg2003, Jul 25, 2014.

  1. Ok i have 4 plants growing in
    50 percent organic soil
    30 perlite
    co sphagnum peat.

I was told it could be the peat?? I flushed them yesterday with 6.5 water all my runoff went form low 7's to 6.6. this morning i checked m,y soil a halfassed way with just a regular ph tester but yesterday it was giving me the same readings as my runoff so i have to guess it's fairly accurate. this am it is in the 7's again

Any ideas what i can do to lower the ph, one is drooping so i am afraid to flush again.
what can i add to the soil maybe to keep it in the proper range??  ty

  2. Don't do anything to it. You only make things worse by "flushing". Your soil will adjust in time.

By the way, sphagnum peat is in lower pH range.
