  2. I grow in a 6x6 tent. I grow 4 plants at a time under a 1000w and Scrog them underneath a net. I've been getting 8oz a plant.

    I would suggest:

    1000w grow light
    Scrog net
    Fan(s)
    Air filter

This is basically all you need

  3. In a 5x5 I would use a 1000w HPS dimmable ballast with an air cooled hood. A 5" or 6" fan blowing through the hood bypassing the tent's air. A separate 5" fan sucking through a carbon filter and blowing out the top.

Are you planning on soil or hydro?

  4. Thanks guy!! Got a 1000w Hps, electronic dimmable ballast, 6" air cooled hood, 6" vortex fan, virgin air filter for odor & 5x5 gorilla grow tent with the added foot extension, growing Moby dick, great white shark & northern lights crossed with skunk, you guys have any recommendations? Im growing with soil! Need some info on best nutrients, watering & air in and out take.. Also maybe if you could mention all the other little extra appliances like timers, thermometers, and other little things i might forget to buy that would be amazing, its really hard getting this information from where im from, thanks so much!!

  5. Is a vortex 6" too much for this setup? Do i have to get a speed adjuster for it?

  6. Nope. A 6 inch vortex is great for that size. I would recommend you go organic if you plan on growing for a while in soil. That way you can recycle your soil and it will get better with every grow. You really need to buckle down and do the reading on how organics work, but in the end, it's the most natural and IMO the simplest method of growing available.

I agree with NextGenGrower. A scrog will yield you the most bud for your space. But I would get a grow under your belt and learn how the plants grow before you explore SOG and SCROG and any other advanced growing techniques. If you have any questions ask me and I'll try to help as best I can.

  7. Mainly, you need to learn about how nutrients and minerals interact with your plants and soil. The N-P-K etc. You need to learn about the "soil food web". You need to learn about Beneficial bacteria and how to brew teas to feed your soil. You need to learn about how your climate will effect your grow. You need to learn about your water source. You need to learn about vapor exchange. You need to learn about a lot of stuff lol. It's a long never-ending road of learning and applying. But those are more than enough topics to keep you busy. I need to take a dab.
