Hey all, new to the forum. So I can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong here…. Here is my setup: eGo battery with a Gentleman's Vapes V2 Mega Oil Cartridge. 1st try: Used the wax (stuff that looks like ear wax), rolled up a ball and put it in. It put out a little bit of strange-tasting smoke, didn't get high, and the ball of wax was gone in like 2-3 pulls. 2nd try: Used honey oil. Melted it off my metal toothpick thing into the bottom of the cartridge. I could see the smoke inside the cartridge when pushing the button, then when I took a hit, I could feel a little bit but no smoke exhaled, or hardly any. I feel a little bit high but not much. I feel like there are only a few more hits of this honey oil in there. I know this stuff is supposed to last longer and a lot more hits so I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong here? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I feel like i'm flushing money down the toilet with this thing.
I'm only going off second-hand knowledge, but the strange taste is most likely the product of not priming the atomizer before filling. You want a small amount (.1 g-ish) on a tool then heat it enough to drip 2-3 drops down directly on the coil. This will soak into any wick area inside and prime it to avoid any burning as the atomizer head is totally dry at first. Use the same method to fill the tank around the coil, maybe filling the tank halfway at most. I'm told about .5g is a good fill. When you drop the solid material in it will often not get down to the right area of the tank to be used efficiently. Hope any of this helps, I learned more than my share through trail and error
