Chief Ds Perpetual Grow Cabinent

  1. For thoes of you who don't know i go by Chief D. Micro and stealth growing has always intrigued me. With that being said I decided I wanted to do a small scale perpetual growing operation. I set up my first grow area using florescent lights in March. I had some issues, but did successfully produce enough smoke until my next harvest which was my goal.
I decided I would turn it up a notch and construct myself a cabinet that would be stealthy, big enough for two flowering plants in 5 gallon buckets, and could house plants up to 5 feet tall. It runs in a 400watt HPS air cooled system and a carbon scrubber. So far I've had one harvest in my new cabinet and I'm impressed.

My perpetual system should allow me to harvest every other month.

This is a continuation to my first grow thread.

I've received tons a help and met some really cool people on these forums.

If your new and have questions feel free to ask. If your a veteran and have advise please send it my way.

I hope to have lots of people following this journal.

I've got one last bag seed plant in flower now and then my Super Silver Haze plants will be ready.

  6. Awesome! I don't really have much updates this morning but it's good to see all you blades here!

Day four of drying. Buds feel dry to the touch but stems don't quite snap yet. 65 percent humidity and 60-70 degrees. I'm thinking Thursday evening or maybe tomorrow I would begin the curing process. What's everyone's favorite cure method?

Flowering girl is on week three since 12/12 flip. She already has lots of yellowing going on and similar rust spots as my last plant. It seems to early to me to be losing so much foliage or is it completely normal this early on? 2 days ago I gave her a heavy nute dose with nitrogen to combat it. Hoping she will clear up but we will seem.. Nice bud formation and great internode spacing. Should make for some decent sized buds.

    Thanks again all for subscribing

    *UPDATE*

I just went home and did some additional LST on my Super Silver Haze plant. She's about a week away from a 5gallon transplant and to begin flowering. She's going to be so massive in comparison to anything I've ever grown before. I'm excited as hell!

The four tops you see bent down are my main two stocks from my original topping. It's hard to see what's going on but I'm expecting an explosion in size once flowering begins

Here is a close up. You can see she should have 4 new tops from here. Both halves of the branch is starting to develop two new tops.

This is a close up of one of the bent over tops.

It's hard to tell but so much topping going on. I hope this place dwarfs all previous yields.

Theoretically speaking she should have 8 main tops.

    Comments?

    P. S. Flower girl week three, no updates. Alot of her lower leaves are yellowing pretty heavily some rust spots developing. Might be natural? If not I'll just let it do its thing.

  9. Awesome plant man! I hope I inspired you down the LST route!? She's gunna give you some nice smoke buddy :)

And the yellowing of the leaves is just because you cut out nitrogen in flower, so the plant is just using it's stored shit from the leafs. That's why you get the discolouration :) <--- omg I'm so high and spelt that first time haha

Edit: come to think of it.... Discolouration is a really easy word to spell anyways!
    Boy oh boy I'm high!

  10. Also on the LST, pull down the branches going up as well, then they will chuck new tops and keep doing this to all the upward shooting branches till the end of stretch.

Then just sit back and watch her bud :)

Haha I wish I could be nice and toasted. I'm at work for another two and a half hours! Lame!

Haha I went thru and edited that post because when I went to reread it I realized it didn't make much sense!

Yeah man LST is awesome. I'm curious can you Train a plant too much? You think a 5 gallon bucket will be sufficient?
Oh and awesome regarding my flowering girl! I did give her a quarter dose of veg nutes along with my flower nutes a few days back. So hopefully that helped a bit.
Glad to have you my man.

    You too Leroy!

  13. Nah you can do what you want to a plant in veg! With in reason :) but simple topping and LST is harmless, but I wouldn't do anymore topping now. Just keep tying all branches horizontal and when they shoot new tops up tie them down too, this will result in loads if tops! And loads of buds :)

  14. Haha wayyyyy too much quoting going on there sorry everyone!

    Headchef,

The reason I left all the branches normal and only bent my main top is because I just recently topped every single budsite visible. My main tops were progressing much faster then the rest so my canopy was getting uneven so I just bent the main tops down to let the others catch up a bit.
I would like to get her flowering in the next week or so.

    P. S.

Is it bad to clone and then reclone my clones? I've heard mother plants are the way to go so you don't lose potency but I feel like it shouldn't make a difference. What do you think?

  15. Lol.... You gonna inspire me to LST ? I hear it's a sweet method... You have just inspired me to go get lit... Ha! Well it is almost 420 pm here... By the way, how do you have more than one URL in your signature? Won't let me do it...

  16. LST is the way to go.

    Lookin good. :smoke:

  17. Holy smokes this is way more like it!

I've done small plants with LST method and I couldn't ever go back. It's too beneficial to not do it.

  18. It isn't bad to clone a clone I don't think. You are just meant to let a plant mature before taking clones, about 1 1/2 - 2 months, I cloned at 1 month tho :)
