Where To Find Good Glass Percs

  1. Hey guys, so I found the site gogopipes.com and they're percs are nice but I found their Chinese glass this is the second time a perc from them broke, both times was because the bong got knocked over. I'm happy the bong is okay but the perc was cheap shit. I was wondering if anyone had any good site to get an 11 arm tree perc preferably green for a 18.8/19mm downstem and bowl slot too. Please help me out blades. Thanks!

  2. How nice are we talking here ? There is aqua lab tech for expensive glass, but I don't think thats what you're looking for

  3. how much is the aqua glass? Like I said this is my second perc that broke by the bong just getting knocked over so if it's like $50-$70 I'll consider buying it if it won't brake on impact or something.

  4. If you've broken two ashcatchers already I don't think spending extra $$ on a quality one is a good idea, get like 4 if them for cheap off amazon or one of the China sites

You can probably find tree percs for like $20 a pop on amazon

  5. @[member="Big Juice"]r.... curious what brand or thickness were your a/c's. I've dropped several on hard floors (not concrete, of course, but hard floors) and amazingly -- things are just fine.... when the piece is made right, it's amazing how much bang a good piece can handle.

@[member="The"] OP.... did'ja ever find your awesome perc a/c at a reasonable price?

    They are all

They are all the same blower. And the 3rd pic is the same A/C with a custom mouthpiece/jhook and bowl attached.

  8. those look like some really nice pieces. How muh do they run for?

  9. Not sure what you mean, is it a stemless piece or does it have a downstem.  If it has a downstem, is that what broke, or does the piece have an additional chamber with a perc that broke, was it an ashcatcher?  A picture would help.

If the bong is fine and the perc broke off (assuming stemless or a perc in a second chamber) there's a good chance that it's due to the quality being shitty.  Higher quality pieces like toro, they reinforce the perc by attaching it at an additional point (along with actually annealing and making the tube properly).  Even vibrations setting the bong down hard can break a poorly made perc.

  10. @mogwi4 here's a pic of the type of perc I had, ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1406473787.321339.jpg
I'm looking for either the same kind with better quality glass or a honeycomb perc that you can put onto the bong. And my bad I should've posted a pic before lol.

  11. Ahh, I see now.  So it was the perc in your ashcatcher that broke?  Yeah arm tree percs can be fragile if not reinforced and attached at another point.  If you spend the money to get american made boro ashcatcher, the issue is that your ashcatcher is now higher quality and probably cost as much as your bong lol.  I'd save to get something like a simple HVY, Zob, Medicali straight tube and then save up again for the ashcatcher later.

  12. These guys have been the highest quality cheapest ash catchers Ive been able to find if your in the US, really solid welds and thickness all throughout and the inline ashcatcher I got from em had perfect spacing for a 10 slit inline to make at least 9 out of 10 of em shooting at any given time with optimal airflow:

  13. I hear you but I'll check them out cause even if I ever get a new bong I can always get another 18 bong or somethin so it will always fit on whatever bong I have.

those percs look really awesome but I never saw one before in person before, are they smoother then honeycombs and tree percs?

  14.
The inline perc shown here is just as smooth or smoother then a honeycomb or tree ash catcher while using less water as it utilizes a stemless system that reduces drag as a result, since it uses less water though it will get dirtier more quickly.

Also as a general rule of thumb Id stay away from trees unless they are made in country from a reputable source, china trees are EVERYWHERE and as you experienced with that weld break they are not of the highest quality.

  15. that's awesome cause I've seen those around but didn't know how to use them so stayed away it was a dumb idea to do. But maybe next time I'll try it cause they do look really cool and sound way better than a tree or even honeycomb.
Yeah I found that out that they aren't really made that well, so I've learned from experience and now I'm staying away from those types of percs.
Are honeycombs usually cheap or high quality glass? I've found that honeycombs are tougher to come by for an add on. I guess they're usually just built into the pieces?

  16.
It's not the kind of perc that's expensive, it's the bong in general.  Usually pricier bongs are made in US or Europe using American or European borosilicate which is more expensive than chinese.  Also workers in US and Europe are paid more leading to higher overhead.

I've only really seen honeycombs on china glass, it's probably one of the easiest percs to make.  Just poke a bunch of holes into a disc and attach it to the tube.  Most don't function that well, if you watch slomo shots, most holes don't fire.  A stem line IMO would function better.

Arm tree percs are fine in a Luke Wilson piece or toro piece.
