Depends on all your other situations in your grow. I was a firm believer in mh/hps lighting, but recently bought a led light. I got a mars 2. I will say that led has worked so well, I have sold my mh/hps setups and am looking to buy another led for a second tent. But all the other variables including lighting is where yield comes into play. As far as your question, I believe if you have all the dials tuned just right, both yields will be in the same ball park.
