I did a passable harvest with just an LED panel in one tent, in spite of a lot of mistakes. The results were virtually identical to the same strains growing in a tent with both LED & HPS lights. Now that I've switched to DWC, the results have been spectacular so far in this grow. LED's are here to stay, both as supplemental and primary grow lighting, at least until the next new golly-gee lighting technology comes along. Dude's name is Keller Williams.... he's a "one-man jam band"..... the most talented single musician I've ever seen on a stage. There are a few bands I'd rather see... but I've never seen that much talent in one individual. He comes out on stage, and there are like 20 or so instruments..... several guitars, bass, piano, xylophone, djembe, tambourine, plastic tubes, theremin, wavedrum, kaossilator, etc, etc. He does a lot of covers, which I think is awesome for two reasons....First, he often picks songs that you don't even know are covers because you didn't know the original, but once you hear him cover it, you get to know the original, and it kicks ass too! Like Couldn't Get It Right by Climax Blues Band, or Illegal Smile by John Prine. Second, even the songs you know and love that he covers... he has such a unique sound, being a one-man band, and using such unique instruments, that you get to hear a song you love done in a completely new (and kick-ass) way. He does a lot of looping to create layers in songs. Then sometimes he plays with bands to back him up.... like The Keels (bluegrass), or More Than A Little (funk). I think that was me, Silver....low Colorado humidity & how to deal with it.....as for your pot issues, I have to agree with Iron...I don't have huge space issues, but I do go from 4x4" square pots, to 2 gal hard pots, to 7-10 gal Smarties....but I use Swicking Totes with perlite beds....it helps push some of that moisture back into our DRY COLORADO AIR!!! As for your yield, you can hope, but that's it on your first grow....Listen to Iron....after you get a few grows under your belt, then & only then can you tweek & fine tune...Hon, if you don't approach it with some caution & low expectation, like many others you MAY be paying those dispensary prices for a long long time...Many give up out of pure frustration....My first grow I harvested 3.5 oz from 6 plants in 7 gal pots....my second was better, my 3rd even better & my 4th brought in 19 oz....& this one I expect even better....Now I'm in a indoor perpetual cycle (seemed to take forever!!) & half-ass expect a good yield every 1-2 months...BUT!!! My flowering room is 10x12'!! Separate Seedling area, separate Veg area....AND I am using T5s & HPS/MH lights....This is why I told you to keep this shit simple....and it seems to me that there are a lot of new growers on GC that may have lucked out a few times on a grow (underline lucked) & seem to know it all....don't go there...learn for yourself, ask for advice, keep it simple & expect to spend some $$$$ at one of our fine dispensaries at first...Murphy's Law could get you & you kill them all (or some)....happens all the time!! ~Sundance~ Iron & Gandalf....continue to advise this Noob....he wants to learn, I can tell....LOL
Advise without arguing please, and as long as it's clear, concise, and correct I will listen. I read & research then come here to cross reference it, while hopefully making a few friends along the way... By the time harvest gets here many opinions may end up irrelevant. I guess what I hope for is ppl getting along in this thread as they share their experience. Hell I'll work at a dispensary to get discounts and happily pay! instead of listening to bickering & emotional discourse... In the end it's really silly... Especially at my age. Peace to all however.... Sorry if I grow with high expectations despite recommendations. I always have.... I've grown corn, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, watermelon, hot/sweet peppers etc etc. I grew those with such & ironically succeeded & failed... compared to the amount of seeds sown I was happy... I'm aware of the success to failure ratio despite what ppl may think... I've failed 7 & got up 8 my whole life. Failure doesn't bother me, because I know how to rise out of it. It's true I may be a newb at growing Cannabis, new to Colorado, new to its low humidity, and new to GC, but most plants if not all behave similar IMO... I'm still reaching for the stars though & if I don't get it all the first time so be it... there's harvest possibility after harvest to try again. I'm not planning on giving up.. Oops it's just passed 05:00 my coffee needs brewed & da 'erb needs heat PS. Rookie sounds much better than newb... If you're completely new you're usually completely clueless, but a rookie has had a form of practice.
