Hi! So I am having the worst time figuring out if these plants are male or female. Honestly, just looking at them, I think they're all male. Which is so disappointing! To keep things straight in my brain I have little letters on the pictures so i can remember which plant is in what picture. I don't know, it makes sense to me. I tried to make the little things that I think are the dreaded pods of a male pretty zoomed in. It seems you just have to click them and they get bigger. I haven't gotten a magnifying glass and my camera lacks a manual focus. Anyway, any opinion or help at all would be awesome. If I actually end up with a female I'd like to get the males away from it as soon as possible, of course. I will seriously be so bummed if I just nursed 6 males to life. This is, after all, my first time growing. I've never seen this stuff before! Of course I forgot to make a note of the exact day, but I believe they've been "flowering" for about 2 weeks with 12/12, and they've looked like this no longer than 2 days. Thank you!
It happens, next grow you might get 8 girls out of ten. Do confider fem seeds, saves a lot of time, space and work. I had to kill 17 males 3-4 feet tall around February. Thats a whole harvest under a 1,000w light. I made bubble hash with them.
@[member="snoopdog6502"] Oh, interesting, so if I grew them til whenever I had other seeds ready I could make bubble hash with them? I mean, I know 17 is a lot more than 6 little plants, so it would make sense if I couldn't. Yeah, I was trying to just do my first grow with bag seed so I could learn from my mistakes and whatever, but this sucks! Fem seeds sounds like an excellent idea.
Grow them out till you have some new seeds, they are beautiful plants. make some butter, edibles, bho.
Thank you! I was pretty happy with how they looked, I am so bummed! I'll try and make some butter, put it in some awesome cupcakes, and then I will start some more seedlings and give this another go. I would imagine you have to have quite a bit more male plant than female flower to get out enough thc to make the butter worth anything.. is there a ratio that you recommend?
OZ in a pound of butter. use the water/butter in a crock pot method. The water gets the yuck, the butter gets the buzz. Also when you grow baby plants try to keep them 70F + at all times and the temperature helps in the chance of a plant being female. Not sure it true but I believe it. I spoil the fuck out of tiny plants.
