Flushing

  1. could people pls give me their methods of flushing plants in indoor soil including how they know when to start, how often etc?

  2. I use 2 times the amount of water that they are currently being watered with. My plants drink about 32oz. of water each feeding, so I flush with 64 oz. I only flush about 4 weeks into flowering with Fox Farms SeldgeHammer at 1/4 strength. Then once again with clear ph'ed water 2 weeks before harvest. Thats just my way of doing it.

  3. thanks. dig the green man

  4. I don't flush anymore unless I've encountered a problem. And I only flush with water when the need arises. Usually two or three times the size of pot.

  5. If your running nutes, and your not flushing, your failing!!

Omit all nutrients the last 2 weeks of flower. Water with water only. That's how I flushed before I went organic. Now no need to flush, ph, worry about ppm. Organics for the win! ;-)

  6. what kind of problem would that be?

  7. There are lots of problems you can have, but IMO nutrient lock out is the main reason. That said if you use nutes you should flush your plants, the salts from the nutes build up on the roots and that can cause all kinds of issues.
