Industry In For Heck Of A Change

  1. Saw this a few days ago.  I think if we keep a democrat or, a more middle grounded republican in office, then it most certainly will continue taking steps in the right direction.

Lol. The dems are fucked after this last debacle ( obummer). Don't hold your breath.
They won't repel things but you can bet things will hit a good stonewall for a while.

  3.
You make a good point.  Despite the republicans surely going all out for the next election, I feel like a good bit of dems that voted Obama in, then, disagree with some of his policies, may switch parties entirely.

  4. Yeah, no. The republican party has really no legitimate candidates that even moderate democrats or independents would even consider. They've spent so much time fighting over obamacare and themselves (traditional vs. tea party) that they have largely ignored social issue like legalization and now, and only now have they even acknowledged the state's right's issue involved with legalization.

  5. Don't be surprised by this development. Expect it to happen. Likewise with rescheduling.

There are pros and cons... but you must understand this:

The LEGAL cannabis market is projected to skyrocket past 10+ billion a year, within several years time.

The pharmaceutical, biotech and medical (doctor) interests cannot legally profit (maximally) until cannabis is allowed to be banked and distributed like regular commerce. Being able to prescribe CBD pills, Sativex type extracts and so on (patents=profits) is an incredibly large market. One of the biggest. Similar interests extend from this.

The banking industry... Consider that every dollar transferred in the buy/sale of cannabis and its products can (and will eventually) potentially pass through a bank. Just like your credit cards and all commerce business. Banks make money by interests and arbitrage, and the banking industry is by definition much higher on the rung of power than pharma/medical interests, as huge as they may be. Think of the tremendous opportunity, to earn interest/etc on the exchange of goods involved in the 10+ billion dollar cannabis industry.

It's not a matter of IF - but WHEN. Banks WILL allow canna-business. Rescheduling WILL happen. At this point, even though the people want it - the BIGGEST players of industry want it more. The people got the ball rolling and now the playground bullies want to take the ball and have their way with it.

Eventually we'll have to knock the bully's teeth out and teach them a lesson; but that's a story for another time.

  6. would be another step in the right direction

  7.
Very much an uphill battle in the Senate. Opposition will be from Democrats and Republicans alike (though probably stronger in Republican circles).

  8. Hit the nail on the head there.

  9. LOL funny pic

I wish that was needed in this case.

But the writing is on the wall; written in fluorescent, neon green.

  10. That about all he has got now. Funny pics.
