Should I Top? Weight Increase?

  1. Hello there, first post on GC but have been following for a while now. I am fairly educated in cultivation but this year is my first attempt at an outdoor grow. I have no pictures at the moment but I have 4 plants, all high quality bagseeds, germinated and planted directly into pots outdoors (central NC) on June 1st. ( I know this is not the preffered method but this is not a super serious grow for me). 1 plant is in about a 7 gal pot, 2 sharing about a 15 gal, and another in a 10 gal. As i said this is basically a fun, low budget grow so all i am using is an organinc peat based soil with black kow composted manure. They get full sun all day long. All 4 are growing well and looking healthy...3- 3.5ft tall and have nice green color with leaves stretching up. 2 look to be pretty balanced hybrids, 1 leaning towards indica and the 4th looks sativa dominant.
\nMy question is what kind of bud production increase will there be if i topped them now? (final harvest weight) I am not looking for actual numbers, just an idea of the difference in total bud i could expect. All 4 are natural growers with no pruning techniques applied other than leaf removal when needed. Allthough i must note that all but the sativa dominant are suprisingly bushy for natural growers. is it too late to even bother to start topping? Or is there other techniques that they would benifit more at this point? i would assume atleast 3  will start to flower in around a month.
\nSorry for the long post, but i prefer to get the info out instead of having to answer later.
Any and all experienced advice welcome, thank you
