  1. Damn man that is some ridiculous foliage lol. But Soco is right those do look a bit like balls, hopefully just the pictures

About how full is that res with roots? I'm wondering is an 18gal res will be big enough for an 8 week veg

  2. Went back to look closer.

I think they are just shitty pics.

Tried to get a closer photo but kinda failed.

I feel fairly certain at this moment that they are new calyxes.

Yours should be fine in that.

  5. Oh yea new pics look a lot better no balls there.

  6. Must have been the angle

TL3 % would you say the roots take up of the rez? 30%? 50%? 80%?

  7. Hard to say really. The air from the stones lifts them up.

    Maybe 30% ?

  8. Oh damn it looked way more than that. Okay so I'll definitely be good with an 18gal, thanks

  9. I was thinking the same about the roots. It looks like the whole thing is full haha. I was thinking dam, why haven't my roots grown like that. My root mass is actually less than my last run which was with 2x 250w lamps and a smaller tent with worries me a bit

  10. How big of airstones are you guys using? I had some TINY ones on some old 5gal DWCs and it did the job, not as well as the new 4inch discs I have but good enough to hold me over.

  11. Well humidity is in check as far as I can tell. I've set the exhaust fan to run continuously.

Temps are 82 and 50% rh.

  12. Mine are 2 inch cylinders. Some pumps have a hard time diffusing all that air through those big discs.

The 70 LPM pump pushes so much air through 3 of those cylinders it looks like the water is boiling.

  13. wait you only use 3x 2inch cylinder air stones on your 70lpm pump? I use 8x 4inch ones lol maybe I am overdoing it by a lot because your roots looks great.

  14. thats correct.

i like to push more air through less stones. im also running 2 70lpm pumps. they both have 3 stones running.

i had 8 stones going in 5 gal buckets. the air was less than adequate.

  15. That's an interesting concept, I will have to do some experimenting. Just started a journal on this ScrOG I'll be doing for the first time, so if you're interested I'll let you know if I come up with anything cool.

So far I'm thinking 18gal res, 4inch circular stone and 2x 2inch stones should be enough but only time will tell :)
