    yea glass is known to crack, quartz not so much.  there is no need for care when heating quartz, it is more durable than Ti if you consider the dangers of overheating Ti.  I've given several quartz nails heavy use this year and the only thing that breaks them is when u drop em.
     
    something that is damaged or has a manufacturing flaw will dodge this concept.
     
    My point is simply that quartz should be suggested first more often, especially for entry to the dab game, especially when price is an issue.  Personally I would never use Ti with flame (I only use it because it is the best solution for an electric/digital nail, which is my primary thc delivery system), when torching I'll stick with quartz and ceramic forever.  Ceramic is fun but fragile, quartz really has no downsides, imo.
