Raised By Aloe

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by alowanna, Jul 14, 2014.

  1. I germanated a seed and put it at the base of my aloe. It is 3x the size of my other 2 plants. All 3 are just now growing thier first set of Real Leaves (first set with 5+ fingers) but the ones in just dirt are about 4 inches and the one being raised by the aloe is almost 10 inches with big healthy leaves. Im wondering if maybe i could use this method to create a new strain if i bred her and grew a couple generations out of aloe plants.

  2. Didn't you pay attention in Biology? You can't interbreed two different species.

Havent you heard of evolution? Im not talking about an aloethat makes buds. Im talking about a pot plant that highly benefits from the OTHER most useful plant in the world. I shall call her ALOWANNA

  4. Sounds like there's going to be less room for the roots

  5. They still won't breed

For millions of years plants have grown within inches of each other and don't breed unless they are the same species

  6. You are misunderstanding me sir. Im talking about breeding two marijuana plants that have both been grow with aloe. Not breeding pot with an aloe.

  7. What does that mean. Do you want the plants to like go Avatar the movie style. I don't get what you're trying to do.

  8. Then you will have bred cannabis and nothing special will come of it

If you understand evolution, you would know it takes millions of years on top of the fact growing that close to another plant isn't exactly beneficial unless it's in the ground

Roots need room, sharing water... so on

  9. Aloe is an organic pot growers friend. What you are seeing is the benefit of aloe. You don't have to have a plant with your aloe plant. Just use aloe in your water to feed with and you will see the same results.

Also if that selfie in your profile pic is you and you are not legal i would change it ASAP.

I understand what you are saying... I don't think application of aloe to a plant would affect any genetics it would pass down to its offspring. There should be lots of info out on the web about how to use aloe with your plants so grow your aloe in separate containers and use it on your pot plants.

  10. Hahahah

'But first, let me take a selfie!'
    Great idea!

I am assuming he is legal but with younger folks these days and how used to selfies they are you never know and it never hurts just to get that warning out there every now and ten :)

  12. Interesting find.  I wonder if it's like how the indigenous peoples of North America planted corn, onion and potato together because they all provided beneficial for each other below the dirt.

  13. I don't even have a facebook. I don't want my face on the internet. That's for little kids. The internet is so dangerous for security. I would never trust it.

I would say he's definitely not legal by how old he looks in the picture.
Just everyone that I've seen legal under 20ish has been paralyzed or has had other disabilities. But then again I'm from Canada where it is so friggin hard to get a green card -.- (well and they aren't even allowed to grow anymore, just purchase it from growers at upwards of 11$ a gram) << Actually this might just be Ontario, not too familiar with other province's.

It's easy now though bro.  Just need to find a doctor to write a script just like in the states.  Health Canada no longer governs it and it's all up to doctor recommendation now.

But ya totally sucks that they are denying new patients the right to grow their own while others are 'grandfathered' in.

  16. Hmmm I'll have to check this out. I know in the states you can get it for anxiety and shit, just going off my aunts experience. She has MS and Rhumetoid Arthritis and it was crazy hard for her to get hers.

  17. I'm pretty sure most states issue is for Multiple Sclarosis. I know Mass does.

  18. Thanks for the heads up guys. Rookie mistake lol

  19. But anyways. . As it is benefiting from the aloe, im gonna see how it turns out. It may not be a new strain but it will still be some good smoke. If it gets too big I'll get a bigger pot. As both plants are currently thriving im going to continue and if worse comes to worse the aloe is expendable
