  1. Just what the title says. Bowl or acrylic bong?

  2. I'd go for a bowl. Not a fan of acrylic bongs.

  3. If you can scrounge another $5 you could probably get a decent glass bubbler. I bought mine at a smoke shop for $30. Of course it's nothing too fancy but its paid for itself many times over

  4. I'll second a bowl. Acrylic isn't good. Go glass or go home

  5. Glass all the way.

  7. Bowl. With 25 you can get a somewhat nice bowl, i got a nice semi thick one for 10.

But with 25 on a bong you're gonna get shit

fuck plastic. i would get a glass drill bit and make your own :) some booze bottles have a nice shape and you can make unlimited pieces :)

  9. just buy a pipe, build a bong. find a nice bottle, go to the store and buy a downstem for like 5 bucks, get a bag of grommets for like a dollar, and then use a glass drill-bit to make a hole in a bottle and pop in a grommet and stem. Good quality bong, made of glass, and you spent like 6 bucks on it. If you need to buy a glass drill-bit it's still a good investment, 1 drill bit and then now you can make yourself bongs whenever you need to.

  10. Let the glass be with you, Luke.
    That's the quote, right?

  11. Bowl. No contest.

  12. get a chillum and make sure you can get a qtip in there so u can clean it

  13. That should be enough for a lil biddy glass bong.

  14. I got a thick well made pretty bowl for 16 at a small smoke shop in Chicago. Its a fairly deep one as well.

  16. Why don't you just put that 25$ in the piggy bank so you can get a real piece.

  17. Why not buy both? You can get a good glass pipe for 10 and a decent acrylic bong for 15.

If you are a glass snob, then go ahead and spend the 25 on a nice glass pipe. But don't cry if and when it breaks. Glass is cleaner and healthier than acrylic. Way easier to clean too.

I happened to be cursed with introducing glass to concrete. So I use a glass bowl in an acrylic bong lol. I have dropped that bong several times over the last 2 years and I still have a bong.

Diamond drill bits cost at least $50 a piece in my neck of the woods.  You have to be precise with pressure when drilling or you will shatter the bottle. Make sure that water is constantly running over the drilling area while drilling. The next time you go to a liquor store, check out the fancy bottles they have. They make great bongs.

On a budget, you can buy a glass vase from 99 cent store. But it's cheap glass, be warned.

Good luck on your decision. Enjoy!

I always buy glass. If it isn't glass, I don't buy it or even really look at it.
Just seems cheap to me, but maybe I'm a snob.

I would just save up and get a nice bong if that's what you really want. Otherwise I would prob get a pipe or just wait till I had more money. More money = more selections.
If you save up a bit more you can probably get a pretty nice pipe (like 10-15 more)

In the 20-25 dollar price range, chillums are also always an option.

The first bong I ever owned wasn't bad, I got it for a 420 deal, so I only paid five bucks for it and I had it for probably three years as my little traveler buddy and then it got snatched up by the cops.
It was maybe 8-10 inches? May have been acrylic, but the base of it was a mushroom. Anyways, it's ultimately up to you. When I can't decide on things I go to random.org and enter the values of 1-10, I pick odds and evens and assign them a choice. Whatever it comes up with always helps me make my decision, because even if it's the one that I didn't really want, I can decide on the other np.
Example: Odds: Pipe, Evens: Bong - /roll 1-10/ - 5, so then it'd be a pipe, if I really wanted a bong I would just choose a bong. Simple :p

    Edit:

I have spent upwards of 50 bucks on a pipe. The trick to spending money on glass and not throwing it down the drain is to take care of your shit. Pay attention to where you put it and think of different scenarios that could potentially smash your piece. I accidentally knocked the pipe I was referring to above ($50+) off of my table and across my room about a week and a half ago (I freaked), but it didn't break. So that's also why you want to buy quality over some ten dollar piece that isn't nearly as thick (and usually not nearly as good looking, cosmetically speaking). I have never in my life broken one of my own pieces. I have had a friend break one of my chillums, I've had some douche kick my last bong and break it, my dad broke the first pipe I ever bought, and probably about 200 dollars worth of glass got nabbed by the cops when I got arrested a few years ago.

Point is- take care of the stuff you spend your hard-earned money on and you won't have a problem with things breaking.

Also, as this guy said, glass is healthier and easier to clean.

  19. Don't ever buy an acrylic bong.

  20. Bubblers are a good middle ground. They make cool looking ones too. And they're only like 20 bucks and glass. So go for that if you can
