  1. This dirt is used FFOF and homemade vermicompost, waiting for my next cycle before mixing up my new soil.

Funny, I was reading Yarrow yesterday. I think I wanna plant some in the yard.

Edit: I have plenty of dandelions. lol All went to compost.

  3. Yarrow is real easy to grow. It's a native plant here in CO. Which means that it will thrive with very little water. It's considered a "xeric" plant at most nurseries.

Nice pickup, prepper!! What's the plan for the char?

  4. I have to so some research on dynamic accumulators, see what is available locally. Just did some reading on comfrey, sounds great except I don't have a place to grow it, and if it's sold by root propagation only and no seeds... Very hard to get here... Maybe I'm lucky and I can find it here... But I doubt it :(. Got alfalfa for mulch, been using that and leaves from last harvest and also dried out root balls.

  5. I plan on mixing in Bio-Char at 5% of my total vermicompost for my next soil mix. I'll also be using Gypsum, which has sulfur in it too.

  7. Hey TJ, I was thinking of retiring to CO in 3-4yrs. Just want a nice little homestead on the mountain with a view lol. How's the people out there? Loved the mountains in western NC, but it's all old red necks and pill heads, so I left, lol.

most ppl in Co are pretty lax. some hide from neighbors(me), others like to be all up in your shit. but for the most part, ppl are cool with whatever you have going on.

When I lived on a acre, We and other neighbors built cars. 4 on the block had converted barns to garages. lots of good ppl. but now I'm in the city, and have no use for the ppl around me.  I suspect one neighbor sells, he's coming and going all hours day and night.

  9. You got a nice thing going!
For howlong are you using the MarsII now, and are you still satisfied about it?
Nice to see all those different strains, I usually grow one strain at a time.

    Send from my phone! :)

  10. Thanks! Been using the Mars II series LED's for a little over 3 months now. Still a satisfied customer, the first 2 lights I've bought have paid for themselves, which is important to me, if I spend any money on gardening, I need to see a quick return on my investment. Still using and testing my third Mars II, the custom all white LED. I am seeing solid bud development and growth, except for the fan leaves looking like crap everything is going fine.

  11. Well, keep up the good work! Getting more and more exited about switching to LED!

  12. I would never EVER go back to HID now that I've been using LED's. Switched to LED's when I did a closet grow last year, the plants love it and so do I! Lol

  13. So I'm going to throw this out there for discussion. Do you believe/feel like your plants can communicate or express feelings to you, their caregiver? There are a lot of study's on plants sensing our thoughts or intentions. What got me thinking about this was I woke up today at 5am. First thing I did was check my plant and it was starting to drop below 70 degrees in there. Shut off my intake fan, closed the window, plugged in my Mars II 900 to raise the heat. Since I never get up that early, could the plant have woken me up to help her or do I need to lay off the coffee and bong hits??

I personally from my own experience believe plants can express happiness, pain, & sadness. The more I meditate, the more sensitive I'm becoming to energies around me.

  14. It is believed that there is a plateau that all living things and time can communicate on. Everything from future events, to aliens.
Oh, how I wish I could be there!

  15. I've been reading Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. About half way through, so far, it's been an amazing wealth of knowledge and insight. Answering questions that I hadn't even fully formed. Chapter 8 is about India's greatest scientist J.C. Bose. Invented the Crescograph, talks a lot about plants in that chapter.
