Anyone Use The Grasscity Forum App?

    So im very hesitant to use it, because my phone heavily relies on letting google and android know my exact location. I wouldnt want other users to find my exact wherabouts (through pictures, or posts) and I wouldnt want local or federal authority to be able to ping an exact location on my "doings". especially if they are not my doings.
    pictures should stay pictures, and I can make it completely anon on my computer, has anyone had success keepings things, "secure" while posting off of a mobile phone? Is there a way to turn "location tracking" Just for the grasscity app off? lemme know, I havent installed it. want to hear others thoughts first

    While it doesn't access your location, there are other invasive permissions that are required by the app to work, which are unexplained and unnecessary for the functionality of the app. I avoid it simply because of that.

    this x99999999 on so many apps. do people never read what the apps they have installed can actually access?

    i don't bother with the app when i got on GC via my phone. i tried it out when it first came out and it was slow on the phone I had at the time. Decided not to even bother with it and never chose to try it again.

    I use it, it's handy when I'm stuck in town bored. I just browse GC from my phone.

    It's all I use.. Just came across GC about a week ago and haven't got on it through my laptop yet? Am I missing out since all I use is the app on my phone?

    The forum is definitely better on desktop. Naturally the full site has additional functionality.

    Works good for me and doesn't tell my location at all. I don't think.... Lol

    I use it.. It's a bit odd but I can deal with it

    It's the only way I use Grasscity...been a while since I used the full site :)

    I use to use the app. But now since I have a PC I have been using my computer. I found the app useful while waiting in line or something out in town. It does need a update or something. I remember last time I used it I ran into a couple problems.
     
    You can tell who has been using the apps by looking at the bottom of some posts. I acutally see a lot of people using it.

    Only sometimes, if I am home then it will be on my laptop.

    I use it on my itouch and disable the gps. No real worries though. I just read it and post occasionally. Since I am not a smoker, that may be why I do not care. I even disable data on my phone unless I need the navigation tools.

    I use the app on my iPhone and ipad

    I honestly wouldn't worry unless you are posting pictures of massive grows.

    I love the app. Simple yet effective.

    I mainly use the app. Don't like sitting in front of my laptop most of the time.

    I use both. I agree the app is slower. But when I can't be on my computer I use it.

    I really don't know how much safer a PC would be really. Someone wants to track you they will.
