A group of friends of mine had this crazy highdea while on *unmentionable*. Ok so what if the US government portrays to its American citizens (my friends and I) that America is #1 while China, Russia, and North Korea are growing threats. We had an idea that what if its all a lie and the US Government treats us how they "portray" north korea? Ok this is where it gets really confusing. What if we have one dictator but they dont tell us and they pretend that the president changes every 4 years when in reality thats just to create an illusion that were "free". What if North Korea is really how we americans see ourselves but our government controls our media so we wouldnt know? You could say nah North Korea has its borders locked and we can go wherever. But what if everytime you get on a plane to mexico they fly you around in the air and drop you off in a remote part of florida, creating an illusion you have left when you never really have. And then what if the "border to canada/mexico" is actually really no where near the actual border an you just drive to another part of the us? You could say no im from canada and you arent the north korea you are how you say you are, but how do i know youre actually canadian and not some government drone sent to prevent me from thinking this, by shutting down my theory? America is #1. I'd say the only threat lies with the Nuclear Arsenal possessed by other countries. We have the greatest Military Strength. We have more Aircraft carriers than the rest of the world combined. We have 200+ military bases set up around the world, and we have many allies. The rest of your idea is pretty far fetched though, except maybe the dictator part. I believe there is a shadow government pulling the strings above our perceived government.
