I've been growing for about 14 months in Hydro/advance nutes, and started soil plant that's flowering.
Lighting for my 14 months, Blackdog micro-u for 4 plants inside 9 sq/ft tent.

I' ve been happy with my result using this setup, but now is the time to step my game up!
I installed a 600w dimmable ballast with about 16.5k PAR Meter at canopy for start.
I plan to lower later when plants become accustom to intense light, compared to LEDs.

From what I've read here on This Forum it will increase yield and quality for smoke using HPS for flowering.

  2. dude you have to give LED a real try. I have a mars 2 that looks just like your black dog. i think they are the same light. That light will never beat an hps. I used it, it sucks. what type of sensor and meter did you use? that is a good ppfd how far off the canopy are you? you are going to be very happy with the results from your addition. first make sure the spectrum is using chlorophyll A, next make sure its lux is higher than that of the hps it is replacing at 36" it is not supposed to matter but if your led has a low lux your bud will have a low wieght. i just started one come and check it out my link is in my signature. did you post your grow from before? it would be great to see the two.
