I once found a £1 coin. That's the most money I've just randomly stumbled across. And yeah, I kept it.
Honestly, I must not be very lucky because I've found $5 a few times, can't say I've found more than $10

The biggest I've found is a fake 100$ church bill. Pretty disappointed when I found it. The most real money I've found was about 40$.

Found $22 under the bleachers at a Figure 8 derby nearly 10 years ago in some hick town. Found $7 in an envelope on the bus in 4th grade that the girl sitting in front of me dropped. She's Jewish. The evil part of my mind still laughs at the irony of a Jewish person losing even a small amount of money

Once found a woman's notepad filled with memos and family photos. There was a pouch that I almost ignored. I opened it and to my delight I found 14 100 Canadian bills. No joke. I just took the money and left the notepad. Put that money in my savings account. Its still there 3 years later.
$60 in front of a gas station door and yes I kept it because I was high and I thought the person that dropped it was gonna come chase after me so I ran straight to my car and GTFO. I've found 500 bucks in a purse in the Walmart parking lot once. She had credit cards and all that in there too. I thought about throwing the purse and credit cards away so no scammers would acquire her credit cards. Then I knew what I had to do. I looked at her id and drove to her house and returned it all. With the money still intact. She then thanked me uncontrollably. She had many family air looms in her purse and sentimental items. She kept persisting I take 100 dollars she offered me for being so " mature" I told her no and she wouldn't stop, I felt bad because I was going to keep the 500. I felt like a bad man. So I told her my original plan to keep the money and throw everything else away and she replied by saying " well your here returning it, arnt you? That shows tremendous character" so I accepted this 100 and gave it to a homeless man on my drive home. A legit homeless guy that I know.
