Slacker

  1. Sorry if there's already a thread for this film but I didn't see one. Either way, Slacker is a classic stoner flick you can check out on Netflix. It's weird because throughout the movie there's not really one solid plot or story line, it's told through a bunch of vignettes about modern-day hippies, hipsters, stoners, drop-outs, rebels, and all the colorful character of Austin, Texas. I highly recommend smoking a fatty while you enjoy this flick, makes it 10x better.

  2. Richard Linklater. One of his first movies, I think. I liked it for about the first hour in, but then lost interest. Definently gets originality points, though. Also, R.E.M. used a quote from it in their song "Whats the frequency Kenneth" I believe the quote goes " Withdrawl in disgust is not apathy." Too true.
