Help Me Quit Smoking

Discussion in 'Fitness, Health & Nutrition' started by davida0829, Jul 10, 2014.

  1. So I'm usually a pack a day smoker for the past 7 years half a pack for the first 2 been smoking a total of 9 years

But recently its been 2 packs a day (the past month or 2 an I can really feel the difference in my heart an my lungs) please help me quit

I've tried vapor cigs (helps a lot but don't got $20 to replace a battery)

    Patches doesn't really help

    Gum doesn't really help

Cold Turkey did this when I was on yr 5 and I quit for 2 months but started back up as everyone I knew smoked so it was hard as fuck not to start back up being around it all the time

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

If you're that desperate and seriously can't quit on your own then try some therapy, hypnosis, and lastly chantix.

If you're not down with that there's really nothing you can do. You really just got to man up if you want to quit my man.

2 pack a day smokers are usually the ones that die from cancer or heart disease at a younger age. I still to this day don't understand how some people have the genes to smoke 1-2 packs a day till they're like 90 years old lol

Have you tried the Njoy Kings ecigs? They blow every other OTC ecig away. It feels ALMOST like a real cig and gives great drags. They're a little pricey and last time I tried the battery lasted about 2 days of use but man I really wasn't craving a cigarette when I was puffing on it.

You can get good deals on their website just sign up for their email subscription. Try it first. If you don't like it order a atomizer and battery and eliquid. Hit up wax payne, he knows his shit.

Btw I meant the njoy kings ecig it self physically almost feels like a real cigarette. And it comes in a handy slim pack that you can slip it in to and in to your pocket. I also don't know if they improved the battery life as I tried it when they just came out.

you dont have $20 for a battery yet you can fork up $7-8 for a pack a day???

  6. I'm not recommending this drug to you.... I'm just telling you that it worked for me. Do your own research and decide if it's right for you.

Of course, I'm talking about Chantix.  I smoked for 20 years, tried the gum, the patch, cold turkey, hypnosis, welbutrin, and everything else. Nothing worked. Then I tried Chantix and a week later I was a non-smoker. That was 3 years ago.

After about a week of taking it I just didn't want to smoke anymore. It was incredible. I simply stopped smoking. Just like that.

I didn't have any side effects, except for these really wild, weird, vivid dreams.  And I actually really liked them.  They were incredible. I still remember many of my Chantix dreams from 3 years ago. But other than that, no side effects.

I'm generally not a fan of pharmaceuticals.  But in this case, it worked for me. Hope this is somewhat helpful. I'm not saying you should go on Chantix. But I am saying that you should at least look into it. Good luck!

  7. I smoke 2 packs a day too and everyone I know smokes also so it's hard to quit. But I don't plan on stopping myself. The only thing I can think of though is cold turkey

  8. I dunno how much different quitting Cigs is compared to Bud......but im currently on my first T-Break from bud and it was quite easy to go cold turkey. 2 more weeks will be about a month.

I jus work out alot....keepin my mind busy...confidence up.
Stay busy.....keep your mind off it

Think how much healthier yall will be in 20+ years.....Good luck!

  9. if you really want something , nothing will stop you
