I'm 19, out to dinner with mum and 3 siblings, before we left i had 5 or 6 cones and a couple blunts with my brother (we put eye drops and we don't become vegetables we can hide it pretty well). So I'm well cooked and well fed, amazing food, and then we leave out to the car. It was raining but extremely calm. I now realise that we were in the eye of a storm. We pulled out of the parking lot to the part of road before the main road And we're waiting for traffic when this huge fucking howling winds strike the whole scene in front of me. The car shudders and slid maybe half a meter I shit you not. The sky lit up and thunder roared in the sky. Poles bent under the strain. The tree in the median strip was wrenched out of the ground, and branches flew and struck the windscreen of the car, the tree falling to the road but luckily no one was badly hit by the debris. The entire fasta pasta sign bent (imagine something like the big M for maccas sign on big fat pole) over. The neon and glass sign on the front of the shop shattered and burst every where. Carnage was had. It was localised to about 500m squared, and we were in the heat of it, completely blitzed. Hell of a rush haha anyone experienced disasters of any sort?

Dude this sounds crazy Only disaster I've ever experienced was when I was 8 a tornado hit the other side of our street but not ours. I was caught in a flash flood in Vegas. Being a California native, needless to say, it scared the shit outta me.
I grew up in Chile so earthquakes were almost weekly, i've woken up in the middle of the night to some pretty strong earthquakes.
I got caught in an incident just like the one you described. I was driving and all of the sudden I hit a wall of pure hell. My car was being pushed sideways by the wind, trees blowing down in front of me, and hail the size of nickels. I pulled into the first driveway of some random house that I could barely see and climbed on the floor of the backseat and put a backpack over my head. I have no idea how my windows were not smashed out. When it finally stopped and I got out of my car, the entire thing was plastered with leaves and sticks. sliding into. 720 degree spin in a lowered honda! May not be a natural disaster...but it sure in the hell was a man made one...almost.. High as fuck riding shotgun with my bro and he thought he was a pro but he went to fast around that 25mph hairpin turn...at night. Let's just say..we were very very lucky with no opposing traffic..this is a fairly busy road for freight and logging tucks as well.. 2 full spins in that bitch. I knew were dead.. By way of car or cliff.. We were going down.. Oh yeah there was a 100 ft cliff on the side too lol. Luckily we spun just to the side of a random pullout... Scary shit. Now that I think of it.
