Leaves Curling Showing Rust Spots

  1. Hello I am a first time grower doing an outdoor grow. Im using fox farm ocean forest soil with Grow big nutes. Got this as a clone @ 5 weeks ago and transplanted into the pot. It was doing great until last week I was away for a few days and returned to curling leaves. It was very hot and humid and they were in my hot box ( a small tent like enclosure) but the top was left open so it did have air. Its now showing some rust spots on the leaves. Stems are a little purple in color also. Its top leaves are really curling. IMG_6883.jpg IMG_6884.jpg IMG_6885.jpg IMG_6886.jpg Not sure if it is potasium (K) deficient or not. Like I said I am a newbie so any advice is truly much appreciated.

  2. Since posting I have tested soil. I have a ph of 6.5 and my nutes tested very low. However we got a large storm and it dumped a bunch of water into the pot. So soil is very damp. Is there a way to introduce nutes without watering? Should I just go ahead and water them with nutes? Im thinking I should use something a little stronger then fox farm grow big. Any advice would be so appreciated had no replies to my post.

  3. You can always foliar feed all u need is a wetting agent (which would be listed as a nute), your regular nutes, water, and a fine mist spray bottle. Spray in mornings or at night. I like to do twice a day, twice a week.

  4. Thanks I'll try this

  5. This is not "Rust" but mild nute burn, gently invert the pot, remove plant and insert enough potting mix to fill the plant and mix to the pots brim, FFOF is best used mixed with 30-50% perlite, to dilute these hot effects and avoid compaction

water well allow to recover overnight, no nutes for 2-3 weeks or until you see an improvement

  6. Thanks I did this so far so good
