Chefs Second Course - Cherry Bomb, Ak49 Amnesia Haze Autos

  1. nice thread man!

  2. Thanks! Stop by any time.

  3. Finally found your journal. Man that Eye candy makes me hungry! D700s rock. Solid built little camera and at 8fps it's my backup but I love it. Btw tamron probably makes the best 3rd party lenses. Don't have a macro though now I'm thinking.

Fun fact: back in the day Nikon made a 900 series pointnshoot. It was so good at close up, medical labs discovered it for their macro images!

Thanks Scotty!  Glad you stopped by.  Nikons have been used in medical imaging for quite a while.

I haven't been updating much lately, but here goes a few pics.  I hope to get more on Saturday when I do the most of my "gardening".

Here is one of the White Rhino #4 clones.  The other one looks exactly like this one and they are at 37 days from the flip.  They seem to be staying small and bush under the MH light.  Thinking I might pick up another HPS and see how that does.  I think the other one is about played out.

    She's a happy girl.

  5. Hot on thee heels of that, here is another Amnesia Haze Auto.  This one smells just like the first one I did and that makes me very happy.  I may have to do a SOG of these...

At 63 days from seed she is packing on some bulk and starting to color up a bit.  Trichs are mostly cloudy, some clear and very few amber.  At least another couple of weeks I'd say.

  6. Beautiful plants and beautiful photography as always, chefz! Haven't checked in in a while but glad to see you are still rocking it as hard as ever! :metal: :)

  7. Dude, I'm trying to keep up with your thread!

Thanks for the compliments. Hope I can do a better job of drying and curing this one. The last few I chopped right before Christmas dried too fast and are harsh.

Luckily I think I have my dry tent controller all worked out. Well see how slowly I can dry these.

  8. Hey man, where'd you go?

    Life shit, man.  Life shit.

But not to fear!  I'm here with an update!  The Amnesia Haze Auto and the Super Skunk Auto are ready to come down before lights on tomorrow.  First up is the AH1.  Fat cola on this one.  Can't wait to get it cured up.  This strain was one of the best I've ever had.  Period.  Here she is at 83 days from seed and after a good haircut a week or so ago.

Full body shot.  That's a 7 gallon pot she's in.

    That cola though!

Next up, the Super Skunk Auto!

  10. The Super Skunk Auto went in the same day as the Amnesia Haze.  I didn't think they were going to finish up together for a while but they are.  (More or less.)

She suffered a little LST accident early on so there is some structural weirdness.  But I don't think it impacted yield much.  Full Body first.  (Another 7 gallon pot.)

  11. Wow bro, they came out stunning! Awesome job! that amnesia haze looks amazing! I dont think the ssk looks bad, she's got a little lean haha, style. :smoke:

  12.
Thanks, man.  I am very stoked that so far the drying is proceeding nice and slow.  Tomorrow morning will mark a week and they are still not ready to trim and jar up.  Just sneaked a couple of popcorn nugs and they smell soooo good when lightly crushed.

I'd say my efforts for the dry tent controller paid off.  It has been steady like this for a good three weeks now.

  13. Hookay.  Been out of touch for a hot minute. Staying busy, for sure.  Finally got a chance to shoot some pics and make a quick update.

The Purple Star I popped many moons ago are well into flower now.  I have no idea how long as I forgot to log when I flipped 'em.  So I'm just going to use Pak's method and let them tell me when they are ready.

First off a shot of the bloom bloom room.  Clockwise from the bottom front:
White Rhino (the last of this), Purple Star #2, Purple Star #6, Pyramid Auto Purple hiding in the back, with two Amnesia Haze Auto's rounding it out.

Next up is the Purple Star #6.  The #2 is very similar so I'm only posting the one tonight. Here's a full plant shot.  She's a good bit taller than the ones I've run before.  Starting to bulk up a bit too.

A cola comparison shot, for scale.
    PS6-Unk-2.jpg

    And of course, bud porn.

  14. I've noticed that the Purple Star is pushing long colas similar to the sativa characteristics. All that I've seen have those long colas. Here is what one of mine looks like.

I grew this under a T5 and it didn't get the proper love and care that I show my normal stable ladies. I've got a clone of her that I'm putting into my normal rotation under the 1000W MH. I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do when treated properly. One of the things I have noticed is this girl has good PM resistance and that I like.

  15. Some updated shots of Purple Star #6.  Trichs are looking mostly cloudy with a good bit of amber but she's still throwing new flowers and drinking regular.  So it looks like a couple more weeks maybe.

  16. What's been happening Chef? I was enjoying reading then it just kinda ended. I better get to work now anyway. How's the controller going these days?
