Winamp

  1. Why can't WinAmp display the actual time a song lasts?
They're always a second or two off.

  2. It's off a second or two?

    I wouldn't worry about it.

It could be the mp3 or file you downloaded had a couple extra seconds or something on it.

  3. winamp is still better than itunes

  4. Lol i remember i used to have WinAmp for mac, then I tried to customize it and I somehow fucked up the computer.

      fucking unstable-ass program!

  5. I love my winamp :metal:  Its what I still use to DJ parties :hello:  Fuck winblows media slayer
I have songs that say they are over 20 minutes, but only run 3-4 :confused_2: The  crossfade still works fine and the time remaining still reads correct. Its just off in the playlist. Dont bother me as long as it still crossfades at the correct time :bongin:

Yea, I use to use WinAmp back in the day too. You can download all kinds of different skins for it and shit. It was pretty cool. And, like you said. That was kinda the days where I was messing up computers. I went through a couple in a couple years in the KaZzA music high school stage of my life. lol.

  7. I run VLC media player, I have not used winamp since I was running windows XP.

  8. Well here is my DJ laptop so....

It runs Winamp and a torrent downloader. Its all I need really. Now that every vid is HD it lags a lil there, but otherwise runs just fine. Its pretty much ran 24/7 since 2007 too.
    Dell Inspirion 1300 :D

  9. Is there actually anything better than winamp so far?

I had a version of PCDJ... Think I still have it. Its good for mixing and if you're good with it, you can beat match and shit like that. I pretty much just play songs for like bars, karaoke, parties, strip clubs :metal:
If you're just looking for a solid media player thats easy to work and navigate - I dont think so.

  11. i went from winamp to foobar2000 and haven't regretted it. i don't know if it's actually better than winamp, but i love that you can have different tabs running for different playlist's

  12. I actually just downloaded it, lol. Wanted to see what has changed on it since 2003 (which was probably the last time I used it). Soon, I'll let yall know what I think.
