"Prince of Pot," Marc Emery, is due to be released from the United States federal prison system on July 9th, 2014. His last blog from prison can be found here at this link. http://www.cannabisculture.com/blogs/2014/06/30/Marc-Emery-His-Final-Blog-US-Federal-Prison One of the most famous activists is being released after a prison sentence of over 4 years in a foreign prison system. I speculate what he will do in the coming years.
They're most likely going to jerk him around in "limbo" for another month before he gets home... I rather like the story of how he attempted to file charges against himself that one time (lol).
I can't fuckin wait to see what he has in store. Most don't know but Marc played a HUGE role in the legalization efforts in USA. I can't wait to see what's in store. With our federal election coming up next year in Canada things are looking bright for us. We might actually make some steps forward instead of the backwards steps we have taken under the Harper's government. He most definitely will be. I can't remember but Jodie has stated the date or estimated date on her pot tv show.
Yes. He also donated every penny he made from selling seeds to the legalization effort and much of that went to Colorado and Washington legalization efforts. He is also the first person to challenge the ban in Canada on Cannabis literature.
Pretty much if he gets back to full steam this hemisphere will be doing great and have a honest person to rally around. Is it to early to ask when I can pick an issue of Cannabis Culture LOL
Thanks for the post. If anybody would like to update the release process in this thread with news or videos, please feel free. A lot of people will be talking about his release.

Selling seeds in his legal business in canada and was extradited to our bullshit. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Isn't he the one that got popped for selling seeds? That's rediculous. I hope the aressting officers and prosecuting attorneys and judge all get killed by drunk drivers.
It's not so much that he was caught selling seeds but was donating all of his profits(millions) to the legalization efforts in USA. DEA has even said that is why they pursued him. It's so fuckin stupid that he can still be incarcerated even though his sentence is over. It's sad because from what I understand this temporary facility he is being housed in sounds horrible. From what I heard he is locked up for 23 hours a day. Sounds like he's in solitary. Jodie has said many times that there are numerous human rights violations. I try to follow as much coverage as I can.
