Too Late To Start Outdoors?

  1. This is my first ever post to the forum guys but I have to ask. I've put my 8 inch tall afghan babies outside in their final 5 gallon buckets. My question is, they've been used to 17hr's of fluorescent lights indoors but with the switch outside I'm not sure how they'll develop with the 13hrs of direct sun (15hrs indirect) and higher temps (mid 80's compared to low 70's indoors). Will the shorter hours stunt them even with much greater and brighter spectrum of light or will it just be a longer process for them to flower? Any past experience would be greatly appreciated. I know they usually need to be a minimum of 2ft tall before flowering but I'm not sure what happens when an almost 12-12 schedule is introduced to them after a steady indoor regimen?

They will kick ass outdoors. Now is a good time to get them out. The plants will not mind at all.

It will stunt them more to stay indoors under a lesser light. Cant beat the sun.

  3. Great to hear, thanks Snoop! I just have a bud who's had his outside for two months now but it gets maybe 6hours a day. Didn't wanna be late on my first full regular grow

I have some ten inch youngins going in the ground on wednesday. July is perfect for explosive growth.

  7.
Right on, been good luck for me for many years.

  8. I must say thanks people. My 2 females out of the bunch (sad ratio of male/females, but I wasn't interested in taking on cloning for more or breeding so all the males came down) turned out pretty well. I topped the plants initially and finished by Floribunding (FIMMING) when the plants were around 30", foliar fed regularly along with flushed etc before harvest. Amazing orange/citrus smell/spicy, light deprevation for 78hrs before harvest. Just over 7oz yield once trimmed and cured. Not bad for my first actual grow off bag trash! attachment=1615412:ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1415719234.110794.jpg] ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1415719334.724952.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1415719366.023503.jpg

  10. Yes they eventually did start to flowering the first week in August. This is from a year ago

  11. I'll never look at a kiddy pool the same way again.

  12. LOL... I was doing some transplant work in my garage the other day and I decided to use the pool to contain the dirt and water - and then I realized, I could have easily filled the thing up and planted it... Next year...

  13. You planted in a pool? That's interesting! Have you done this more than once? If so, what kinda yield did ya get?

  14. Yea I get a pound or two per pool. this year the soil was not as happy and I grew some sativa and made hash from it.

  15. Interesting! I want to try that! Any info or requirements or so on I need to know?
