Strawberry Diesel Outdoor 2014

Discussion in 'Outdoor Grow Journals' started by spoogey, Jul 5, 2014.

  1. well my buddy had a clone that was behind the others so he gave it to me to try growing it at my house.  i am using a 15gal root pouch, mixed pro mix BH, happy frog, and ocean forrest as 1:1:1 using  general hydro flora nova grow and will be using bloom here shortly.  clone was planted late May but i did not start tracking growth till 6/7/14 that is the first set of pictures.

    i pulled the main stem to the handle(forget the term used for this)  i then topped it,  and as each branch grew up i topped them all after 4 nodes creating a nice bush i am happy so far with the growth!
    let me know your thoughts.

  7. How long has that baby been vegging?

  8. Use pro mix Hp not Bx dude, you want the aeration not the water retention.

  9. Looks like it's flowering is it getting full sun?

  10. Yes you are flowering and it's female. Your plants are a bit early but not buy much. Time to start flowering nutrients if you use them or top dress with flowering amendments.

  11. thanks yall,  it gets sun from noon till sunset,  i mix the pro mix with happy frog and ocean forrest, my peppers love the ratio and i am watering every 2-3 days.  every 5th feeding i flood to flush any buildup in the soil.  so far so good!  im excited to see what i end up with as long as i keep the pesky pillars away!

  12. another update,  week 2 of flower(im thinking!)  looking pretty and this is a VERY odourous plant!  strong odor even when vegging.

      the only spot i had  allows direct sun from noon till sunset, i was giving it grow ferts and it just started to flower so i switched to a bloom formula.   its a smell SOB

  19. It really doesn't matter the exact week. Use a magnifying loop to gauge harvest. Tricombs should stand erect and be milky/amber. I would say your the plant is about a week into flowering. It would have larger flowers by week 3. Watch it close for mites and bud worms aka: caterpillars.

  20. yes, i have 28 pepper plants surrounding it with the hope that the butterflies/moths land on them( i do inspect daily)  i also have been spraying safer brand caterpillar killer every 3-4 days just in case i miss something!
