Hello, Blades. Recently I began letting my almost 4 year old son play video games with me. It's been a long time since I was a 4 year old picking up a controller for the first time. Let's face it. controllers these days are a lot more complicated than the old NES pads. i'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for some good games to get him started with? We've been playing Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater so far. The latter seems to easier for him. I'm not big on platformer games these days, but I'm willing to get some to hone my new gaming partner's skills. Thanks, Blades! Sent from my LG-LS970 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
The lego games are a good start for some multiplayer fun with your son, Lego batman is really good one. Maybe some Dr Mario thats always a fun one. My Sons 2 so he isn't quite at the right age to play video games with but I'm looking forward to 3/4ish when he can. Enjoy some game time with your son man! Do you have a Wii? I feel like the Wii would have the most to offer for gaming with your son.
You are underestimating your kid. Mozart could play piano blindfolded with his back turned at age 3. I play Mario cart wii with my 4 year old daughter. Just gotta work on it that's all Sent from my LG-E739 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
yeah the Lego games are great and they involve a lot of problem solving activities. Lilbit hard at younger ages but they grow into em.
Heres what I was thinking of I couldn't think of the name of it but I plan on investing in this at some point for my kid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCTWE7Hegh0
I would start him off on possibly the classic Legend of Zelda. When he is older, introduce him to Ocarina of Time. I have never met an unintelligent person that did not like that game.
Lego games all day. But some of them are challenging. I don't know how they expect kids to figure some of the things out. Get sonic or pong Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
i wanna get my son the Disney Infinity but i know he'll end up losing the toys. we've played almost every lego game together though. some puzzles are a bit in depth, but we make it through but honestly, my son can play any game we own. no problem. he plays halo and skyrim anything but GTA. he knows not to even ask
are you implying that the ops kid is unintelligent? Wording man..wording Sent from my LG-E739 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
really? zelda is waay more complex than most modern games out now if it's gotta be old school than super mario 3 for platforming, rc-pro am for racing, and double dribble or tecmo bowl for sports
so then your opinion WAS that Zelda players are unintelligent? That's what it sounded like from your post. I figured I must have misread it. I must say. How rude... Sent from my LG-E739 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I believe that you did misinterpret my statement. Sorry if what I said offended you, but I think you read too deeply into my post. I believe that calling me rude based on an assumption is rather uncalled for.
Just to clarify, when I referred to having my own opinion, I was simply referring to what games I would like to introduce my child to. Nothing more and nothing less.
I don't think he/she meant that the kid was unintelligent. I think they were just trying to say that, in general,
