Canon Rebel T5I Or Nikon D5200?

  1. I'm not entirely too sure where to post this, but here we go. I'm looking for an entry level DSLR camera to get into photography.

Right now my budget is under $1000 and I'm looking at the Canon Rebel T5i and the Nikon D5200.

Anyone with experience have an opinion? I'm currently leaning towards nikon at the moment

  5. was gonna say nikon :smoking:

  6. I got a cannon rebel t5i and I love it

  7. Good choice! Same choice I made, I was back and forth between the two as well. I've had the d5200 for about 6 months now and really love it.

Im just now finally getting my skill up enough to stop relying on the auto-modes in most situations, but I've still got a lot to learn.

    Enjoy dude!

  8. Good choice with the nicon man. The colors are way nicer on Nikon and I feel the settings are better.

  9. Same body I have.

Camera Bodies aren't as important as lenses. I'd recommend going out and spending a good chunk of cash on some nice glass.

    I have 4 lenses right now c:

I would say Nikon, but do some research. I had the T3i Rebel Canon a long time ago and I've read tht the T5i is pretty much the same as the older models with just minor changes. I am not 100% sure an I didn't have enough time to research for you right now, but I realy wanted to try an help you out.

Either way, you're going to have a really nice camera when this is all said an done;)

Edit: NVM lol just read that you bought the Nikon; great choice!
