I'm suprised I haven't seen this topic come up as of late, so here it goes... List movies with great, immersive visuals. Do note: this is not a trippy movie kinda thread. Sure the movie might be trippy, but this is not what I mean. I'm talking about: - awesome scenries (e.g. nature, space) - artistic movies - awesome contrast of colors - not a drama movie, but rather a comedy, fantasy sci-fi, insight-full, but not depressing - gotta have many awesome colors, but nothing trippy/weird or scary I recently saw the Life of Pi, which had great visuals. Would definitely recommend it. Also: - Speed racer (spectacular visuals in this one) I can't come up with any more atm....
Taking Woodstock has a pretty cool acid scene with visuals... A River runs through it has some pretty nature visuals Sent from my RM-860_nam_usa_100 using Tapatalk
Fantasia and the jungle book are pretty awesome. oh, there's also a movie called Baraka and another older but similarly awesome, Koyaanisqatsi. They are truly visual journeys. no actors. no words or anything really. Check both of those out for real.
Nightmare before Christmas for the visuals. For awesome scenery (natural) I would recommend The Last Samurai, I re watched it a few days ago and it's a beautiful movie (also, Lord of the Rings).
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya probably had the best artwork overall of any anime I have seen so far. Great visual distinction, and huge attention to detail. Anime Movies
The anime version of matrix... forgot the title Sent from my GT-I9505 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

Lord of the Rings. Seriously, I don't know why, but whenever I can't decide on a movie to watch baked - LotR. And the music is so perfectly matched. Also, like the OP said - Life of Pi. Peace & Harmony :toking:
Avatar. The scene where the tree falls is trippy lookin. Also war of the worlds. There is a scene where the street cracks open and some kind of alien comes out of the ground. Trippy scene. Also, the dry sponge scene in the green mile is pretty trippy too.
