I rescued five clones and a potted plant from a poorly thought out bag seed operation and decided it was a good way to try an aeroponic cloner. Built it, topped a few plants and now have five clones. They were all suffering from bottom leaf yellowing from either ph problems or nitrogen deficiency but what concerns me is the red stems up top of this clone. Is this just normal new node color or am I looking at another nutrient deficiency. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Knock those lower leaves that are yellow ASAP and cut the other fan leaves in half to save energy for further growth elsewhere Donburkestomatoes
Also what medium are they in, what feeding schedule are they on, what lighting times ate they on, grow area temp and humidity, ec or ppm reading?? Oh levels? Where they at 👠Donburkestomatoes
The reddish purple on the stems combined with a close look at it's leafs condition you can see if it needs too much energy to survive and this is the plants natural reaction to a imbalance of energy available for that node.... So in theory trimming and controlling the growth power to evenly flow around your plants limbs without parasitic loads that can slow down new growth, but if you trim small nodes that have massive fan leaves that are taking all the energy directly under them you can watch that small node explode out. Thanks guys, I trimmed it down and flushed the system and it's bouncing back nicely but not out of the woods yet. They have been on 24/0 since clipped. I have my cloner basin filled with RO water and a small dosage of rooting hormone. No rock wool no medium right now they just started shooting roots. I haven't decided how I'm going to veg/bloom them I may continue using aero but I may transplant to a dwc system. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
