Best Dispensaries To Visit On My Trip To Denver?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by meucci24, Jun 29, 2014.

  1. Hello all, happy blazin'! I'm planning a trip to Denver soon. It's gonna be a short one, but we want to try some rec mj while there. Can you help us with the best dispensary close to the LODO area... or at least not too far away?

We are seasoned smokers, but virgin edibles! I can't wait to try something yummy! Any suggestions here would be appreciated too!

A little about myself. I suffer from severe back pain (a total of 8 bulging discs in my neck and back) and have rotary scoleosis. I take pain meds four times a day, but am allergic to opiods so I'm limited in what I can take. I am envisioning a permanent move to CO in my future. I am looking for more organic methods to treat my pain. I also suffer from anxiety/depression, mostly due to my physical pain.

Any advice for my trip and possible move would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Peace

I don't think you can get a rec for a med card unless you are a citizen but I could be wrong. Are you talking about just buying from a marijuana shop in Denver?

  3. I believe that rec use was opened to the public last year. I know you cannnot transport ANY out of the state of CO and we have no intentions of doing so. We just want to try some 'real' pot while we're there, lol.

What I'm more interested in (and I should have been more clear) is what strains would be best for me/us. We both suffer from anxiety and I also suffer from depression in addition to my physical disability.

I've read the pain guide here in the forum, but so much has changed! There are so many new strains to choose from it's overwhelming. I would like to try something that is good medicine for pain (my back), but won't leave me couch locked. I like sativas but I don't like a racing mind/heart. So I guess something happy and mild. We don't want to be holed up in our hotel room drooling :hippie:

    Thanks for any advice!

  4.
A sativa and idinca hybrid. Like 50-50 or 40-60%
Not to high level of THC either, with a good level of CBD (I think that's good for anxiety, not sure though, i'm more of a rec user)

And as of strain names, no idea, i'm not at all close to CO !

  5. Thanks for the info French Toast, that's what I need to know. Now if anyone knows any strain names they would suggest along those lines that would be great!

  6.
Don't need a card for rec in Denver, an out of state resident as long as they are 21 can buy up to 7 grams per store.

When i was Snowboarding in Colorado, I stayed in Denver and went to Dank Colorado and Sacred Seed...I liked both shops, Sacred Seed was a little more laid back but also a little more crowded...As far as specific strains that are good for you, talk to the budtenders...every shop is going to have different strains that are good for different ailments but that is what the budtenders are there for... At Dank CO I tried their Critical Plus Caviar which was awesome, and while the edible gummies were tasty, they didn't seem to do too much for me.

  7. Thanks for the info lessthanjeezy! I just didn't want to walk in and look like a total newb, lol. Thanks for the info on the shops too, I will def put them on my list of places to research/check out while there if I can find them :bongin:
