+Rep If You Can Scare Me

  1. Ok so its been a few years since i seen a movie that has even slightly scared me. Been hearing about the original excorcist movie but seems like it would be the same old deal. Handing out a rep to whoever posts a movie that succeeds in making me jump at least twice. Btw don't give me a torture kind of movie like Saw or some shit. I just find those gross, not necessarily scary. I'm all about that REAL Eerie atmosphere type of scary.

  2. play a game called Outlast, you can find it for sale on steam right now for cheap, will scare the hell out of you more than any movie can

  3. I don't have any advice on that bro... I too need help with this!

  4. The problem is that you are looking to movies as a means of getting scared. What you need to do is find ways to scare yourself by putting yourself in a terrifying situation. For example, you could go to Mexico and break into the home of the highest ranking cartel member you can find and videotape yourself fucking their wife and leave a copy sitting on the bed with your name and address on it. From then on you will have to live in perpetual fear of your impending torture/execution at the hands of Mexican drug lords. :smoking:

  10. Check out The Conjuring even if it doesn't scare you it's a damn good movie. It's an homage to movies like the Exorcist while also being based on a true story. I would really highly recommend it. The only horror movie I've seen in like 5 years that was worth a damn, unless you count the Evil Dead remake which didn't really scare me.

  11. Well, it really all depends on what is scary to you. But hmmm let's see here;

30 Days of Night - Scariest vampire movie I've ever seen. Has a pretty damn terrifying atmosphere to boot.

The Amityville Horror (2005) - A remake, and I believe the first remake I saw that legitimately blew the original out of the water. This is a creepy fucking film. (The only thing that really scares me, personally, are when things appear and disappear quickly, or when things move in an unnatural way. This is full of em)

Antichrist - I will not say anything about this film. Watch it, and you will know what true terror is. I had to stop it before it ended.

Audition - If you are into foreign films, this is a damn good Japanese horror film that has several cringe worthy scenes throughout.

The Descent - Especially if you are claughstrophobic, this is a terrific British film that everyone should see. The sequel... Eh not so much.

Enter the Void - I would not call this a scary film by any means. But I'll be damned if it isn't shocking, revolting, and has you on edge from the minute it starts to the minute it ends. Best way to watch this is up close and personal; I would use a laptop or something with some good headphones. This will take you on a fucking ride of your life.

The Exorcist - I noticed you mentioned you hadn't seen it. Doesn't truly scare me, but it's a classic horror film that may have more in it than you realize. Especially the spider-walk scene... I don't like that shit.

Grave Encounters/Grave Encounters 2 - Some people may bash me for it, but this two part series is one of the best found footage films I've ever seen in this genre. If anything, it's just an interesting concept to think about afterwards.

The Human Centipede 2: [Full Sequence] - Forget that lame first part, the sequel is where the scares are at. God DAMN.

Martyrs - Another foreign film, this time French. Won't say much about it other than it will make you feel pretty uncomfortable.

Mulholland Drive - Depending on if you like twisted, psychological horror, this is a David Lynch masterpiece. I'd recommend Eraserhead as well, but I think the general consensus on that is more wtf than scary.

The Strangers - As far as home invasion movies go, this is one of my favorites.

  13. Watch a movie called poltergiest. The parents smoke weed in it. One of the scariest movies I have ever seen.

  14. Have you seen, "The Conjuring?"

If not, it definitely has some jumps in store for you.
