  1. So I just set this up today, I only had one seed that germinated from some bagseed I had. So I decided fuck it, ill just grow one plant and if it is female ill clone it in the future. For now as its a small baby, I have 1 5000k CFL set up for it. I'm going to run some proper lighting soon but this was just a quick in a rush to get things done for now shot at it. How long can I keep it with one light?

The trashcan is just to keep the box door closed :p
I know its ghetto, Any suggestions are welcome.

  2. Looks alright for a quick setup. Deff needs upgrade on lighting and if you plan to transplant to a bigger pot that will be very hard with the container you used. Your gonna have to cut it out of there. I would recommend a lighting upgrade and pot upgrade asap. For the lighting if your going with cfls I would recommend getting some adapters from the hardware store. I use cfls and I just use 2 power strips tapped together with a bunch of cfls. I get a 6 pack of 6500k 26watt at walmart for $10.

  3. You should never grow a plant in a pot that lets ANY light get to the roots. Just a side note. Quick and easy setup tho, I never thought of using a cardboard box, should never be a fire hazard if its ptoperly ventilated

  5. Mannnnn pick up those Dannimals!

Haha but on the "real"... Is it okay to say that, on the real?

1 bulb will be fine until the seed really starts to grow. Your pot isn't a good choice for two reasons - the container is clear which will cause root rot when the roots hit the side and start seeing some light, the other is that even if you grow it out to a decent rootball size in there, you're going to ruin the plant trying to get it out. You would have to cut it out, possibly causing stress to the plant if you end up cutting the root ball.

Is that aluminum foil? I believe you need to use the dull side down and as flat as can be to avoid whats known as "hot spots" which is real easy to guess what it is from the name. Hot spots are spots where the light is reflected intensely on one spot of the plant. This will cause light burn/light bleach and just general problems!

    Cheerio

  6. You gotta ask your self how you gonna get the plant outta that jar...it could prove difficult, use a small pot with potting mix and so the roots don't see the light, include 2 bulbs 1 at 5000k and the other warm white at 2700k, keep a small fan in there plants gotta breathe too?
