So, I did the best I could to wrap her up. Literally haha. Here's what I used : So I wraped the top part of it. I covered about 2/3 of the plant. The point is, tonight is fert night. So I used mildly hot water. To my surprise, after 1hr of being outside in my bag it was still hot. So when I poured it (5L) it kind of warmed the atmosphere inside the wraping, the soil and pot. So I quickly wraped the lower part of the thing and sealed it the best I could to try keeping the heat. Here's the result Let's hope it work Would be nice if those could continue gaining some weight !! I will update in 7hours max to tell you if she survived. Meanwhile, got to sleep, still have accounting class tmwr morning... Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess

Day 126/ High eating poptarts, not much to say. She's still taking some weight. I decided to harvest in 2 weeks, maaaaybe 3 max. I'm afraid of mold right now. And it will get cold as fuck at night So I nuted her tonight but from now on it will be water only to flush her really good. I will cover her for the last 3 days, so she get sticky sticky. Then 1 day of light and Chop chop ! The fun time start. Can't wait to be there. I took this one for the guys at cropkingseeds, where I buy my seeds. Best place IMO. That's it for today ! Bed time now Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
I got paranoid with mold and did a FULL search on the plant. And a fucking good decision it was. On the two lowest branches I found little spots of mold at the base of two small bud. I simply cuted those buds and scrubed off the remaining little spot of mold on the branch with clear water I had on me. So I also decided to clear the canopy even more. I snipped around 30 leaves in the spot I think are the most mold sensitive. Better air flow, water does'nt get stuck, plus deeper light penetration. Putting the odds on my sides. Will keep a open eye for mold. Picts from yesterday were shitty IMO, so I decided to take extra care tonight. Bud shots They have'nt named the strain "White Widow" for nothing  : THAT green  Top cola From under the skirt To conclude Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
So I went tonight to shake off the 2 hours rain we had today. What do I find ? A fucking mini construction zone setting up too close to my taste. So I had already spoted a backup spot not so far but cover in some optic illusion. So I set off to the spot. Find it. Start clearing a little space for the plant. Took me at least 20 min to clear all the bushes in a 4x4 area. Thank god my brother was'nt sleeping yet. So we moved the thing. Secured it in place. Covered our tracks. I think I should be good. Keeping the plant in it's pot. BEST DECISION EVER. I realised that I never puted the buds in perspective with anything. So I took my little 6" cutter I use. 2 random average size buds Top cola Proof for the skeptics I dont know, high and realised how big my hands are Bed time now... .... So. It was water day. And I decided, since I start flushing sunday, that I would treat myself with a little sample. So after trimming 3-4 leaves, I choose the smallest branch of them all, with a single cute little bud. I realised it was one of the two where I found mold at the base so it was even beter. So its hanging and drying. Cant wait to test it. Here are a couple of other pict i took Aaaaaand the top cola to fish : Thats its for tonight guys ! Peace Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
So, we had 3 perfect day. Not a single cloud in the sky and in the 25C. Would had been even beter if I had watered her. She was dry as the Sahara yesterday night and the leaves were showing sign of water deprivation. I also started flushing today. Probably harvest next Sunday to the one after the next. Anyway, buds seems to have taken some more thickness. I also tested the sample. Taste natural funky and is very potent. I can't really pinpoint an exact flavor but my friend and I liked it very much. Will get even better after it cure. Some picts The fist pict gives a good peek at how perfect the plant is structured Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
Looks like some great bud man. Just a suggestion...in your second pic, one of those colas I noticed the leaves kind wilted looking. Areas where I found bud rot on my plants looked like that. I'm not saying it is, and it's probably not, but I'd spread that bud apart and check the inside. Looking great though dude.
Thank you for the advice mate, much apreciated. I will inspect it carefully. Hopefully nothing will go wrong. One last freaking week. The exitation is building up!! Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
Damn MM, you were right. Well, there was not any at the time but I found some yesterday night. Lost the top part of a cola. 7gr at least. I foun one other spot on the mid section of a bud. Cuted A little over and under it, so I save the top part of the cola and the base. I decided to harvest thuesday to prevent spreading. The top I saved : Rot damage After trimmed Hope not much more appear until thuesday !! Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
Damn, thought so. Hopefully that's it. Not sure about your weather but it's raining here today. I gotta go home and check mine again too. Good luck bud.
It was raining yesterday, that's why I went to check. Next 3 days are full of sun and after that it's rain all over the place. So I will harvest thuesday night. If I wait untill sunday I feel I will loose a lot and I can't do it earlier. Will water tmrw night one last time then chp chop !! Anyway the buds are ready enough. Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
Well, lost an other 3gr. But saved much more. What I did since I cant harvest (logistic), I basicaly trimmed the top part of the plant alive to make sure no rot or mold appear. Also harvested the top part of my top cola because a very tiny spot of mold started developing. What I noticed is that mold appear when the leaves dies but stay attached to the plant. She curl up to the center of the bud, and since it is very moist in there and that air does not circulate well, mold start developing. So i clipped any yellowing leaves left in the lower part. Little pict of what I saved, drying in a shoe box. Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
Day 139/ HARVEST DAY so, bad weather on the forecast, mold starting to be agressive, trychomes look ok, I think the day has come. The day of my first harvest. What a great day in a men's life. All that work for that day. Two last pict before chopping her down: The top cola and 2-3 colas are already missing. So I chopped her down. For logistic reason I had to cut branches by branches. The roots look super healty to me. Huge root system. 2 cubic feet I would say. I made a pre-trim before hanging them to dry. Took like 3 hours and we were 2 on the plant But thank god I had that help, plus she is cute, so a good night it was B) After the pretrim, almost everything, some was already in the dryer. For the drying, I made a little wood frame for a box. Inside is in carton and outside in plastic sheet. It is 3x3x2 feet and everything barely made it in. Dont mind the "lid" please... we can also see the tip of my carcoal filter. There's a 4" vortex fan in there for air circulation. Inside, you can see the fan. So, a quick question for the more experienced fellows : how much time does it usually take to dry ? From the sample I tested it took 3 days. But in a tent IDK. Can't wait to put them to cure! Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
The dry time depends on humidity and temp. Def dry it as slow as possible but not so slow it molds. I like to dry for about a week and just when it starts to dry(stems will not break, but will splinter) I start the cure. There will still be moisture in the stems and stuff. Just watch it and when it feels damp again during the cure, air it out, then once almost dry, seal it back up. Repeat until the hay smell is gone and it tastes smooth. I like to keep all the leaves on so it drys slower. I personally cure with the leaves on too. Only because there's too much to trim all by myself. Usually I'll just trim before I "get rid" of a sack. It might smell like leaves still during the cure, but as soon as it's trimmed that crazy stinky skunk smell comes out.
Here is a pict of the sample a took a week before harvesting. Been curing for a week. This one is a random branch i took in the dryer. Light trigger number -A-White-Lady-In-The-Wild] Journal - white widow - first grow in progess
So, after a weeek everything has dried, and in jar. Got 192g or 6.8oz wich is not bad. While I was trimming I noticed that if mold had not attacked, 2 more week of flowering would have made me over 1/2lb of good med for a single plant. Curing time now!!
So, my little tea recepie : Take 1 or two branches from your crop Cut it in fine little pieces Put everything in a little tea bag Add some fat or oil (i took margarine made from olive oil here) and add it in the bag if its solid. Pour the boiling water over the tea bag in the mug, and if you choose to use oil as fat pour it at the same time or before the water. Cover for 5 min and enjoy ( yeah I know, i take all my tea "equipement" at davids tea) Edit : forgot to mention, I have added a little bit of hashish straight from morocco in it, a freaking good stuff
