Question About Florida Mmj

Discussion in 'Marijuana News' started by birdmang, Jun 17, 2014.

  1. I was wondering if anybody had any idea if PTSD will be benefiting from the upcoming medical marijuana in Florida (if passed) ?

  2. In Canada, one company earns a lot of money on growing marijuana , if u wont i can give u link

  3.
As amendment 2 is written now, yes a doctor could prescribe mmj for PTSD.

  4. Ammendment 2 allows for a Doctor to recommend cannabis for any condition they feel is appropriate.

    So yes.

  5. What about depression and anxiety? As in, a replacement for a SSRI?

  6. Any condition your doctor feels is appropriate

  7. For those with questions about what will be approved for useage. You need to be consulting your current physician now, if he/she is not onboard you need to find another Dr.. Don't wait till the last minute and start bitching about it.

Excellent friend!!! It is time to legalize marijuana for both medicinal and recreational purposes worldwide.

  9. Where are the crooked Florida docs? Don't flame me guys I just wanna know I've searched and maybe not the right places I know you cats know

    Just lookin for a lift

  10. Ok I have a question: It say's the law becomes active Jan 6th 2015 if we pass it, yet they have 6 months to write all the laws? Does that mean even with a doctors note, you still have to wait till the laws are written? How long is it actually going to take before we see dispensaries pop up? I know a lot of people are already working on getting permits for buildings and such? If Florida takes the route of "It must all be grown in Florida" Doesn't that mean we will have to wait for a full grow cycle as well? So we could potentially be looking at what...6 months for laws? 3/4 months for grow? = 9-12 months before we even see a legal plant?

  11. I just wanna see it get passed....6 more months after waiting 40 years isn't a big deal to me......

If you live in Florida be sure to register and vote....make sure your friends do as well.....

After the low CBD bill was passed and the grow operations outlined, that should be in place by the time Amendment 2 is being outlined and implemented. Dispensaries I think will be the stumbling block.
I forgot to add, there have been rumors that the discussions for implementation have already been taking place at the State level and the county levels.

  13. For sure it will bud I know for a fact I'm 100% disabled vet. In any state that has legalized marjuanna mental health is apart of the mmj it's part of the m-o. So realistically I've lived in fl i know its a fucked up state but I doubt that fl will be only state to not qualify mental health issues for marjuanna use.

Hi Birdmang, I am a medically retired United States Army combat disabled veteran. My retirement date was 28 June 2014, so I am fresh out. One of my injuries is in-fact PTSD (Chronic Mood Adjustment Disorder, Chronic Depression mixed with Anxiety/Insomnia) as well as a sleep disorder for nightmares.

I have spoke to the VA & Physicians, the VA will not prescribe MMJ. I have heard they can or do but my common sense tells me it's the Federal Govt. and obviously it's federally illegal but you won't lose your benefits. As for Physicians, I spoke to one last week from CannaGaurd who is already in my area waiting for 2 to pass. With PTSD you are just about guaranteed a MMJ ID. You will get it, just make sure you go through a private physician or a well known doctor.

  15. If I'm registered in a different country from where I reside in Florida can I still vote in the county that I live in?

  16. If your a citizen an register to vote yes you need to register through town hall in fl

  17. Does anyone know that, if passed, will Florida have reciprocity with current California rec holders?

Florida should honor other states, but if 2 passes, after the tight asses in our legislature get through with it, there's no telling what we'll end up with...

Just like the CBD bill that Scott pushed thru this summer...it has basically hit a wall, nothing has been done to implement it...most believe it was created just to derail amendment 2.....
