G-Pen Battery Will Not Hold Charge

  1. Hey so I got a gpen on ebay a while ago, and for a few days it worked great. One day I'm just hittin it and the light blinks 8 times to signal that it's out of battery. I charge it up, the light's green to indicate that it's done charging, so I take it off the charger and try to hit it again. The thing doesn't heat up at all and instead blinks 8 times, like it's  out of battery. I'm like... what the hell... so I charge it again for another couple hours, it says it's done, but the same thing happens again. I've probably repeated this process a dozen times and every time it just blinks 8 times like it's out of battery. Has anybody had a similar issue with their gpen? This is the original gpen by grenco, I'm using the original glass vaporizer tank for oils and waxes... is there any way to fix this, or is my battery just permanently dead now?

  2. All these pen type gadgets components aren't reliable. It could just be the battery needs replacements. I've replaced battery, coils on my vape pens few times. Original or not, they break down just the same.

  3. g pen is already kinda low end pens as it is, grenco does not use top grade batteries as you can tell by the charge lifecycle. on top of that, ebay is full of fakes that are even WORSE quality. I would get it replaced. next time just get a different atomizer with a generic ego battery, does the same job. ruvaped, kiss cart, source orb (my fav) - all are better than g pen by miles

Well when you do not charge the battery fully, you should not do partial charges unless you really have to. You should always charge it fully before it goes dead. You are not supposed to run any rechargeable lithium battery until dead.

Well aware how to keep a battery healthy, and I had to change my gf's in her iphone because she treated the battery the same way.

  5. I know this is an old thread but I'm having similar issues. I had it for about 10 months, fairly regular use. At first I would twist onto charger at light would remain green (despite my knowing it's dead). I cleaned with cotton and rubbing alcohol which did the trick. Now a few months later, I get a full charge but it's dead after a few pulls. Used to be able to go a few days without charging. I know G Slim is on the low end but worked perfectly for me. Before I buy a new/different brand, anyone else experience this? Thanks
