Welp started chopping. Found more bud rot, threw away bout an ounce. Got about a pound of perfect top buds. I only got done with chopping the tops off 5 plants. The ones I chopped just started amber trichomes. A tiny bit early but really close to being finished. Looks and smells fantastic. The rest are just too premature to wrap my head around chopping yet...and we have a storm coming tomorrow. So I'll be watching closely
About making Hash? complicated? I assume time consuming? I was planning on making butter out of anything that wasn't going to be cured & smoked. Still haven't chopped, if I can help it, I still got til end of month before I hit the sweet spot I think. Still finding bits of rot here & there, but less & less.. nights infront of a fan are helping. So much for nice sunny days we were suppose to have.. rainy & high humidity all this week ....I've been "advised" it takes A LOT of trimmings etc to use enough to make butter, but I'm not picky on quantity.. anyone ever tried?
ive done both a bunch of times. My favorite is to use hash or some other concentrate to make the cannabutter with. The taste of your edible is much better in my opinion. I get too much green chlorophyll taste using trim.
Brrr golden! Lol you further north than me?â˜ºï¸ had my dad telling me over skype I should be chopping... But only on day 51 of flower.. Suppose to actually get into the 20s is coming week.. Hoping 1 more week of warm weather will help them plump up.. Still finding bits & pieces of rot, but minimal.. Think I got ahead of it.. I don't want to be in too much of a hurry to harvest, but between weather, the rot & just generally getting close.. It's hard to hold off......
No im at 44 north. This year hasnt been good to us. Normally we dont get that tell mid October. The rot this year seems to be bad this year. Just a bad summer. In gettingy seeds from mr green thumb for my next yers grow. Hes expensive

pretty sure it's rot, but just wanted someone else to confirm? All the other times I found it "within" the bud leaves, but first time it was the top.. I should point out it is dry too, which is what made me hesitant.. Was hoping maybe I was just being over cautious...?
