  3. Hey man, I don't know about the light mover. You must have a pretty good size tent if ya want a light mover in there. Im sure it would do you justice outside of the tent though. Should have the same effect as an HPS on a light mover.

    ***Update***

So just incase you guys didn't read my earlier post I germed the Super Sonic Cristal Storm. Well, after germing when I opened the paper towel I noticed the Taproot was quite badly damaged. It had broke off close to halfway, more towards the tip. Well, I planted it anyway in hopes of it pulling through which was a 50/50. After three days still nothing. I went ahead and started digging to find this little sickly, skinny horrible looking little taproot with pedal leaves being held shut with the skin for the seed casing. I pulled the seed casing off and raised the pedal leaves slightly above soil level. All I needed was a little hope and I have that now. I really hope it pulls through. I included a picture below (Kind of hard to see).

The girls are doing great except for one really sick looking bagseed plant. I think its nute burn or nute lockout. What do you guys think? I flushed with PH balanced water hoping it would help. That was two days ago and there's been no change. I was feeding Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow at 15ml per gallon. I basically give them about a gallon a piece. What makes me think its not nute nute burn is that even the small ones in the cup are being fed the same strength nutes. This sick one was/is a real drinker though. You can see it in the pic's.

Here's the THC Bomb. Short and Stout like always.

Here's the sickly looking plant. I could be wrong but I'm thinking Nute Lockout. Bagseed #1

  5. Time check test

  6. Looks great bub, I'm growing THC bomb not Atomic Bomb. Looks like you have some foxtailing going on. I'm gonna take a guess since a see a little foxtailing, I'm going to guess its between 9 and 10 weeks flower? Also, I see a lot of white pistils. When foxtailing happens new bud growth starts to happen and its not as potent because its "New" growth, it has to ripen again. Mostly Sativa's do this "FoxTailing". It just looks like it, I'm probably wrong.

  7. End of 9 weeks tomorrow going into 10 :/. I'm going to have to look up this fox tailing, never heard of it before. Been checking her under the scope a lot this week, tricomes are still clear, saw one or two cloudy and today finally a couple of Amber hairs, she's taking her sweet time for sure, top dressed with EWC weeks and weeks ago and that's what stunted her, shit was way to strong and not PH balanced.

  8. Subbed up. So I was skimming through this thread and noticed that some of the bigger leds are putting out a lot of heat? Isn't that one of the reasons leds are supposed to have an advantage? I was thinking about going with 2 mars 2 1600s instead of 2 1000w hps. Weird because my mars 700 puts off almost no heat

  9. One 1000w bulb puts out 3500 BTU's of heat, I'm sure whatever you get will be less than that, lol.

Hey buddy welcome to my thread. The 1200's do put off a good amount of heat but nowhere near my 1000w HPS. Ive heard people compare it to a 400-600w HPS so yea its still an advantage. Also, your only going to draw between 520-580w of power from the plug. I honestly don't think this 1200w LED will compare to my 1000w HID but the draw power is nowhere near the same. Now two 1200w LED's will be around the same draw power and will definitely out-produce the 1000w HID. Honestly probably a 1200w and a 300w LED both of them will run with a 1000w HID in my opinion, plus you will have a bigger footprint. Let me know what your going with so I can sub if you make a journal. Thanks for stopping by bud.

Hey seriously look up foxtailing. A lot of people don't know WTF they are talking about but find someone who mentions "New Bud Growth Later In Flowering". This happens at the end of the cycle for mostly Sativa's. New bud growth starts to form on top of the old bud and its fattens up tremendously, only problem being its not as potent until it ripens once again. Some Sativa's want to keep flowering. This one guy I know let his pure Sativa go to 16 weeks man and OMG it was really, really fat. When you saw clear trichs, that's what I'm talking about with it having to ripen again man. They grow and then get cloudy, then they start to foxtail and get clear again lol so wait until they are cloudy once more man and you will not be disappointed. I would NOT chop now bro. You'll end up with a glaze of not so potent bud on top of potent bud. Am I making since? Lol whatever I hope you understand. That's how I knew you were between 9-10 weeks because that's when " FoxTailing" usually starts. Best of luck bub let me know.

  12. You're making total sense, so flowering a plant to long can reverse itself to the beginning and add a lot more time to it. Going to have to stay on her, I think my new LED should help her turn around faster than the 400w HPS.

  13. Thats correct. Although usually only with Sativa's, I'm sure it can happen to indica's though. It ends up looking like it grew dreadlocks lol. I think it looks mighty scrumptious. I may have missed it but what LED you going with? You already have it or ordered it already? I'm just curious, I'll read through these post to see if you already mentioned it.

I am flowering quite a few plants so I need comparable to 1000w hids. I was actually thinking of going with 2 mars2 1600s to run along side my 2 1000w hids. I already do have a journal I'll post the link later. I'm seriously thinking of buying 2 tents this winter just to do an led vs HPS grow so I can settle the debate. Just needed the funds
That's why I stay away from sativas. I always wondered why they foxtailed. So if you cut them down when they're just starting to cloud no foxtailing?

Yes sir, but some people prefer it to happen because they gain a good amount of weight overall anywhere from 10-20% sometimes more man. You know how the last two weeks of the flower cycle they fatten up a good bit? Well it kinda happens twice man except they grow out in dreadlocks shapes. Basically look at this picture below. If you were to harvest before it foxtailed when it was cloudy you wouldn't get the dreadlocks. So if you wanted to harvest before you wouldn't have the extra weight so just imagine the plant with and without the locks to determine. I'm not saying 100% your plant is doing this but it REALLY seems like it if you've got white pistils and clear trichs at 10 weeks flowering bro. I'm almost 90% that's what's happening here man.

Plant that has FoxTailed (Usually Sativa's at the end of Flowering Cycle). Some people go for another 3-9 weeks after the breeders suggestions. One guy went to 19 weeks flower. I thought that was unheard of, but he said he prefers it and makes it his goal to make it happen. Crazy but looks nice in my opinion. Really long though.
