Whole Body Shaking Uncontrollably After Bong Hit

  1. tl;dr  Took a big bong hit, blew it out the window, and started having my whole body shake uncontrollably for about 20 seconds in all.

[SIZE=9.5pt]It was this morning at about 8:55. I had just taken a bong hit, pretty big one, but nothing out of the ordinary for me. I was sitting at my computer desk and stood up to blow it out the window, then I started to loose my vision when standing up and blowing it out. [/SIZE]It just started going dark and black starting at the edges of my vision, and I tried blowing it out faster to get a breath of air, but my whole body started shaking, from my feet to my hands and head.

I tried to sit down or at least kind of fall back into my chair, which I did, but I was still shaking pretty badly. My vision was coming back as I backed up a bit and was fully back after sitting in the chair. [SIZE=9.5pt]I had head phones on since I was at the computer, and I was still holding the bong and lighter at this point. My feet and legs kept shaking and so did my arms and the rest of my body.[/SIZE] I couldn't keep control of the bong so I tried setting it down on the desk, but I couldn't control my arm enough to just set it down.

My arm was still shaking a whole lot and my hand was like right below the edge of the desk, I just needed to bring it up  like an inch or two to set the bong on the desk. But as much as I try my arm just really isn't responding, and its shaking and slowly moving towards the desk. I managed to get it on to the desk on my mouse pad, which was in line with the edge and just the closest surface, but then the shaking got worse and I lost control of it. I had dropped the lighter by then, don't remember when. The bong tilts off the desk and lands on the carpet (after this was all over I checked it and nothing broke, and the bowl landed on my desk and didn't break either, but at that point I had no idea what happened to it).

I was leaning back into my chair quite a bit, it stops tilting at like 45 degrees I guess, and I was falling to the left. My arms were up at my chest, and I was holding them up with my hands in fists about under my chin or around that area. My arms were still both shaking uncontrollably and so was the rest of my body, which I couldn't even move now when I tried. The only reason I didnt completely fall out of my chair and on to the floor was because the arm of my chair caught me, so I just kept leaning over that way.

There was a stool next to my chair though on the left with a couple of drinking glasses on it, which my head phones fell on to, without breaking, but I was pretty close to just falling on to the stool and the glasses then. The shaking lasted like this for maybe ten seconds then, and I couldnt stop it or even move at this point. After about ten seconds of the uncontrollable shaking I started to move again, I was still shaking pretty badily, it hadnt really stopped yet, but I was able to move my upper body to the right and sit up in the chair.

Once I was sitting up the shaking started to go away slowly, it took about five seconds for it to go away enough that I could move my arms and grab the edge of the desk and my chair to steady myself, and then it took about ten more seconds before the last of the shaking was gone completely and I could steady my head. I had just been smoking while watching an episode of Space Dandy, this was my third bowl, not too big though. I was using a plastic water bottle (my glass one broke) and a glass bowl and down stem, and I was using a stainless steel screen in the bowl. It all happened about ten or so seconds into the credits of the episode, and I was sitting up in my chair again with little to no shaking with about ten or so seconds still left. I didn't notice while it was happening, but after I sat up and could control myself I noticed how fast my heart was beating. Didn't feel sweaty or too hot though, and I was low on breath.

[SIZE=9.5pt]Any thoughts? Was it lack of air after taking a big hit, plus standing up quickly to blow it out? I never felt too freaked out or in any pain, but would like to hear some opinions on what happened. Thanks.[/SIZE]

  2. in b4 cball calls you a govt troll.

anyway, i took a huge bong rip a few times and felt like i was gonna pass out. actually, i like the feeling but whenever i take a super huge massive mexican-sized rip from anything I can get this light-headed feeling and kinda like a vibration within my being. its nuts

once my ex-gf's sister took a huge bong rip at a get-together and passed the fuck out, scaring everyone. she got back up after like 5 seconds and was like, I passed out didn't I?

i think its a massive dose of carbon monoxide in the smoke or something. some people are more sensitive.

This is Reefer Madness 2014, plain and simple.

Notice how these stories contain near perfect grammar and punctuation every time?

Most young stoners are so grammatically gifted and eloquently spoken this should not raise a flag...

OP, you just missed out on what could have been the craziest fap session ever

  5.
yo kid, do you partake in any other substances like rockso the clown? ever been diagnosed with a syncopy issue?

honestly bro, you're pretty new... a government spy is gonna sit back and chill. seem pro pot. maybe have a picture of a generic grow in his profile. maybe point the finger at someone in an overt way. but really they're covertly gathering info... making friendships... solidifying their place as a respected and trusted member  of the city....

    just saying bro..

I have a belt, so no chances lost.

Anyway, no trolling, being totally serial. I've held in big hits before to where I black out a little, like not losing consciousness but vision going black. It's happened maybe two or three times before, all almost a year or more ago. But I've never had shaking like that, where I wasn't just wobbly or anything, but I was leaning back in the corner of my chair just shaking without being able to move. It was kind of like sleep paralysis, where even if you try really hard to move sometimes you just don't or it can take a while, except it was couple with intense shaking and wasn't nearly as pleasant.

    wow. go to the doctor.

Btw, about the grammar, here's what I originally wrote down in note pad before editing it while making it into a post.
    Code:
hard to remember even how it started now, but i had just took a bong hit, pretty big one, but nothing out of the ordinary for me, i stood up, blew it out the window, but i think i might have had a lack of air or something, i started to loose my vision when standing up and blowing it out, like it just started going dark and black starting at the edges, i tried blowing out faster to get a breath of air, but my whole body started shaking, from feet to hands to head, i tried to sit down or at least kind of fall back into my chair, which i did, but i was still shaking bretty bad, i had head phones on since i was at the computer, and i was still holding the bong and lighter at this point, my feet and legs kept shaking and so did my arms and the rest of my body, i couldnt keep control of the bong so i tried setting it down on the desk, but i was looking at myself do it, my head shaking too so my view is still shaky, but i cant control my arm enough to just set it down, im still shaking a whole lot and my hand is like right below the edge of the desk, i just need to bring it up like an inch or to and set the bong on the desk a little back, but as much as i try my arm just really isnt responding and its shaking and slowly moving towards the desk, i manage to get it on to the desk on my mouse pad, which is in line with the edge and just the closest surface, but then the shaking gets worse and i loose control of it, ive dropped the lighter by now, dont remember when, and the bong tilts off the desk and lands on the carpet, after this was all over i checked it and nothing broke, and the bowl landed on my desk and didnt break either, but at that point i had no idea what happened to it, i was falling back into my chair, which also leans back quite a bit but stops at a little over 45 degrees i guess, i fell back into the chair and was falling to the left, my arms were up at my chest now and i was holding them up with my hands in fists about under my chin or around that area, my arms were both shaking uncontrolably and so was the rest of my body, the only reason i didnt completely fall out of my chair and on to the floor was because the arm of my chair caught me so i just kept leaning over that way, there was a stool next to my chair though on the left with a couple drinking glasses on it, which my head phones fell on to without breaking, but i was pretty close to just falling on to the stool and the glasses then, the shaking like this lasted for maybe ten seconds then, and i couldnt stop it or even move at this point, just realized i didnt add it, but by the time i was starting to try and back up in to my chair when i first started shaking my vision had come back, and was fully back by the time i was in the chair, anyway after about ten seconds of the uncontrolable shaking i started to move again, i was still shaking pretty badily, it hadnt really stopped yet, but i was able to move my upper body to the right and sit up in the chair, after i was sitting up the shaking started to go away slowly, it took about five seconds for it to go away enough that i could move my arms and grab the edge of the desk and my chair with my hands, and then it took about ten more seconds before the last of the shaking was gone completely and i could steady my head, it all happened about fifteen minutes before i started writing this, i felt still pretty shaky and funky for about ten minutes after this, and i started feeling more back to normal about when i started writingi feel good now, still high, breathing fine, heart was beating pretty fast for a minute or two afterwards though but fine nowany thoughts? was it lack of air after taking a big hit, plus standing up quickly to blow it out?
    That was around 9:15.

  10.
Feel fine now. The previous times my vision has gone dark it was because I was trying to hold really big hits in for too long, maybe ten seconds or so, but with too much smoke. But this hit wasn't even as big as those and my vision wasn't dark completely or for as long. And of course, the shaking.

  11. I'm pretty new means what exactly? Do I have a picture of a generic grow in my profile? I guess the EBong I'm working on is generic?
Go crawl under a rock with your high horse, i'm not in your "blade" clan yet attitude ok? Thank you.

The OP took a bong hit and stood up too quick. Easy call for simple hyperventilation that could be exactly the same with no bong hit, but yet he has to make is sound like he almost died from pot! Using tags like shaking spasms bong air oxygen black black out ?  While explaining what amounts to hallucinations and uncontrollable spasms!!

Any way you look at it this is anti pot all the way and it's stories like this that keep pot illegal in most places.

  12.
Hmm, well I wasn't trying to make it sound to extreme, and the tags were from the main points of what I was writing about, being myself shaking, similar to spasms if someone was searching it, which is what tags are for, I used a bong, I was thinking it was because of lack of air or oxygen (like you said, hyperventilation), and my vision did go black or black out, not that I actually passed out or went unconscious, which is what I've said.

Also, I wasn't having any hallucinations, visual or auditory, and I am not trying to make any kind of anti-pot message or act like I was almost dying.

You responded to Full-Time Mexican about how he assumed and generalized about you in his comment, and then you proceed to do the same with me in the very same response. Well done.

  13. Sit on the floor and take quick in and out breaths for about 20 seconds like you're panting, then take a huge breath and hold it in while pushing hard against your closed mouth while standing up.

Then after you observe the results, you can come back and delete this pot scare thread.

    Thank you.

  14.
Look, I'm not trying to bash marijuana or make a scare thread or something so you can just stop already. I posted this because I wanted others opinion or answers on the subject, and I wasn't looking to blame weed as the reason this happened. If it was because of lack of air, for one, I'll take smaller hits, won't hold it in as long, and will just be smarter when milking a bong for a long time; but two, I also wanted to know if shaking would be something to expect if that were the case, or if it would happen if I just held my breath long enough anyway. You've managed to indirectly answer my questions, but not without acting like an asshole and trying to make me out to be some anti-legalization weed scaremonger when trying to get answers to health related questions, and that contributes just as much to why pot remains illegal and has such a bad image.

ya..uhhuh...until you went on that little tirade I had nothing to add...but your only arguments are to use fallacies...
    https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/

do try to avoid those fallacies

why do people think you some dea agent or such, well...

people calling it anti pot post are using an easy tool:
    [x] noob/new account
    [x] reefer madness theme post

the check list makes it easy to spot potential propaganda pushers or just people brainwashed by years of propaganda, while ignoring science...
to avoid being thought of as anti pot, just ignore the DEA lies and reefer madness misinformation input and associations and focus only on science..

example in loose layman's terms: pot didn't cause it, suddenly increasing o2 levels and blood pressure by holding your breath while you stood up, can cause you to feint...nothing to do with any drugs, pathogen or mental illness/defect..borderline feinting spells can have the effect of induced 'twitching' as your mind tries to stay awake and some neural pathways misfire (even happens to some people as they fall asleep...).

Again, I'm not blaming the weed or trying to make a scare post or what ever kind of propaganda post about anything. This is simply the experience I had while smoking, and I described it.

And yes, I get that it wasn't the weed or smoking that caused it, it's just that it's the only time I'm holding my breath like that and then getting up to blow it out a window.

Thank you, this is pretty much the kind of info I was looking for.

    EDIT:

    <div style="margin:0px;">
    (bolding mine)

</div></div>I wouldn't say there was much confusion, other than being a tiny bit dizzy or just feeling weird after it went away, but the shaking lasted for a while and was more than just a few jerks. Otherwise it still sounds like that, just with a little more shaking or jerking than described.

(The edit didn't appear on your post for me until just a minute ago).
