google <- and know what a real study is, how they are done...not the 'pot smoke kills monkeys' type propaganda that DC uses...

no long term effects have ever been found.
Granny Storm Crows list has some suggested theories...only suggestions though...
(I'm not going to post 'suggested' thoughts or fallacies on this...) :bongin:

now let the spinmeisters chirp in with their post Nancy Reagen education system science ideas...on what some suggest mj does, but they can't prove. :confused_2:

seen this one a few weeks ago,, id say take it with a grain of salt,  there is nothing definitive proved here,, its all very skeptical and you can see theyre not sure themselves but they cleverly use this unknown to their own advantage...basically ''well you see we dont know if these changes are bad things ...but they could be so thats yours reason to not smoke weed!''
however I think what this study really reinforces is that weed may have a more profound effect on the brain of teenagers, rather than adults, that have existing mental disorders ,exacerbating the problem, but to assume it causes these problems intially is foolish....
However while this study doesnt prove much , Its is directly targeting teenagers which is a good thing in my eyes, dis-encouraging cannabis use till they are older and more mature, and keeping them focused on their education and future

    oh.. he got banned

  4. I would let kids blaze rather than drink.

  5. Keeps them from going out and getting in trouble, who wants to go rob somewhere while being in couch lock?

teen should stay away from all drugs , especially alcohol , im sure there are at least few studys showing the damage it can causes to developing brains
but its not like they will anyway.

so your saying sedate the teens?
and rob somewhere?? do you think all teenagers are criminals? proper parenting would e enough to stop that happening
    i hope your being sarcastic

  7. My inquisitive thought would be to ask,

"How can a substance proven (Gov Patent #6630507) to be supremely antioxidant rich and strongly neuroprotectant... to the point that it treats/prevents neurodegenerative conditions including Alzheimer's, dementia etc... simultaneously destroy someone's mind?"

IE the teenage use propaganda is suggesting that the same antioxidant powerhouse that protects your mind is causing inflammatory (oxidative) damage to your mind. Not very scientific, right?

IMO that's why there is no established PROOF that it damages the youths mind. Only theories... some poorer than others. With all the millions spent looking for proof that it damages the mind, considering none exists leads me to believe that is because it does not harm the mind.

Nor does it cause brain damage ala the monkey experiments

Nor does it cause lung cancer

    etc etc

The tricky part here though is... should we really suggest teens to use it recreationally? Even if it is safe that is a serious debate and I do not outright suggest all teens start using cannabis. But if there were necessary therapeutic reasons... perhaps a different story.

you believe it doesnt cause lung cancer? interesting
thats the one negative to SMOKING cannabis, but I wouldnt even call it a negative because it isnt a trait of the plant its a just method of injestion,
why do you think it doesnt?

Where did I say sedate teenagers or claim all teenagers are criminals? Put your glasses on pal. I was just simply disagreeing that "teenagers shouldn't smoke cannabis" talking from experience I was getting into serious trouble until I started smoking it at 16 then it all stopped mates would just chill n not be out looking for trouble or money. Read a paragraph more carefully before you go on a rant.

  10. Oh didnt spot that last starement, good parenting doesn't stop kids from causing trouble when bored. I'd love to learn your logic behind it though?

''Keeps them from going out and getting in trouble'' so who are your referring to as 'them'? should they stayed cooped up indoors eating junk food and playing video games instead of getting out and causing 'trouble' ?
your personal experience doesnt reflect on the rest of the population. what even is your argument?? all teens should smoke weed? some teens should smoke weed? who makes this decision for them? the state? their parents?
teenagers shouldnt smoke weed full stop,,,, but whose is going to stop them?? they are  teenagers , they do whatever the fuck they want anyway.
sure your were boisterous young fellow and weed helped you settle down (sedated you,  Sedate - to cause a person or animal to be very calm or go to sleep by giving them adrug: )
but for the majority of people its not gonna help them in the long run ,e.g when i was a teen and I discovered weed, I spent a lot of time getting stoned when I should have been studying ,,, I could say the same for a few class mates of mine too, my older brother knows people that fucked up there lives because there were too young to care about their future and smoked everyday at school.

And Sir do not put quotation marks in front of something I never wrote,
put your glasses on pal! oh and read paragraph before you go on a rant!

good parenting doesn't stop kids causing trouble...... well then my friend its not good parenting , is it?
oh and id like to see the logic in anything you said so far,, encourage teenage cannabis use to lower crime rates?
    very logical indeed

  13. We're clearly from different walks of life on different pages, after reading assumption after assumption I've concluded this is going nowhere. Agree to disagree.

  14. I love a good argument If anyone didnt notice

  16. my mum let me smoke weed at 15, after she found out I was doing it outside.
This could cause a rukus lol
When I was ill and seeing a psychiatrist, she told me strictly not to smoke weed as it was a depressant and would only make it worse.

Of course being 15 I was a dick and never listened, but toking has definitely sped up my recovery. I dont get panic attacks anymore, and three months after I went back to see her and she n commented on how great I looked. When I'm high, I don't have those overpowering thoughts or feelings. I feel so peaceful, lol.

I was supposed to be on my treatment course for two years, but after 3ish months of treatment I started smoking ganj. because I was doing so well, I was discharged after 7 months.
    woopa
forever on  green side of life

Plus to be perfectly honest I'd rather my teen was smoking weed than cigarettes or drinking n all that jazz

  17. I wish I had a mother like yours when i was younger haha
