True/false Obtain Medical Marijuana Id Lose Va Benefits

Discussion in 'Marijuana Legalization' started by MistahWho, Jun 11, 2014.

  1. Hi,

I am a 25 year old veteran who was medically retired under combat related injuries this year (2014). I was granted 50% from the military and 70% from the VA so I have very good benefits for my family. I am married and have two children 1 & 2. I just recently moved back to my home of residency, Florida. November 4th is the ballot on legalizing Medicinal Marijuana and I plan to obtain my Medical Marijuana ID Card. There is only one problem, I have read from multiple sites vets will lose their benefits if they use medicinal marijuana to treat pain, depression etc.

Does anyone have any updates on this subject and if so, please share.

    Thank you,

  2. Anything for them to get out of paying benefits.
Hell, we just got "medical marijuana" in our state, and its a felony for a patient to have any plant matter. The rest of the people of the state, 42+ grams is a simple misdemeanor. Make sense of that.
They are literally doing whatever they want to marginalized persons.

  3. sigh...

ever get the feeling some people just may have issues unrelated to pot?

  4. Yeah, I hear one of the symptoms is an inability to empathize.
Other symptoms include difficulty with verbal communication.
Thank you for your communication via pictures once again.

  5. Dont get the stupid card.

Do a small grow at home.

  6.
ya...it amazes me when I see what people were doing and they got busted...I'm all

  7.
I will not be on a state list. I have my paperwork but will not be a some cops database.

  8. over here in canada thanks to our faggot grime minister steven harper medical marijuana users are no longer protected from getting fired due to drug test failures, job benefits and more

  9. Well over here in 'murica patients have never been protected from drug testing and can even be fired for testing positive in states where its deemed legal. Got to love the home of the free (to piss in a cup).

  10.  yes they can take your va benefits from you.  Most likely though they are going to still see you just not give you any narcotics for any pain you have.  Retired Army here

Oh I understand, its a racket. just stay underground. I sure as hell did not care about going over 100 plants clear back before any state had medical.

I say piss on em and just be very careful, the underground growers who get caught get stupid or greedy.

  14. Somebody had to grow, legal or not.

  15. i am a disabled vet with a 100% rating. i also have my MMJ card for Nevada. no one has stolen my benefits or anything and i know that the doctors from the VA are giving out medical MJ cards. you should get the card. it makes it easy for everyone else with legitimate issues to get one and remain safe and legal. to be a legal user of medicinal marijuana is by far one of the biggest reliefs i have had and has helped with my anxiety. not the part where i get to smoke it, but the part where i am legal to do so. hope you get the real info and make an educated decision.
    rock on! :metal:

  16. My friend, here in Az, claims the local VA hospital has been told not to test for it. :smoke:

  17. This is complete BS- so far.
Not sure how the laws may change in the future.
My sig has a link to an article regarding your medical marijuana recommendation and MMJ ID card
