We'll that's exactly my problem.. My when house temps are 79-81 My grow tent is usually 79-81 as we'll.. It'll go higher for an hour or two here and there. But I don't have central ac in my house I have nothing but one window ac.. So it's not easy to cool down my house when it's over 100 outside. My res I don't have to take temp reading.. It has a 24/7 meter that is hanging in my tent displaying the temp of the water/soup. I never like to get it above 68 degrees. Anything above 68 and your open to many more root problems. Even if your temps were in the low 70s always.. Ur. Soup isn't sitting at 65 ish degrees.. Which is only optimal.. Not saying your plants have any problems. They look great, how big are they now.. Mine are 4ft 3" wide, just measured the biggest main stem from bottom to top and it's 2ft 1" !!!! Lol with the bend of course. I wish I woulda flowered a little sooner tho Because my screen is too full already! I have pictures of my intake setup not to far back in here.. It's sucking cold air in from the room with the window ac with a 200cfm fan. Goes thru the cool tube and out the too of the tent towards a window.. But like u said I can't cool my tent down much lower than my ambient room temperature ! IT IS WHAT IT IS ! Learn&Grow
Edit * We'll you said i have no choice but for them to be higher . But they are exactly the same. I have very good air flow and with my both my ghetto a/c's going it sometimes gets lower than the ambient temp. I mainly use my ice chest ac to cool off my 20w water pump now cuz it got pretty hot.. Lol no but definatly in the middle of the desert !! It's suppose to be 104 tommorow. Hopefully it's a cold winter tho and it helps me cut down on electricity. I didn't do much research on this strain before I got it.. It's a sativa dominant hybrid. This thing streches like crazyyy!! The exact opposite of your bush.. Lol I wanted and indica :/ but from what I've read I should be more than happy with this chemD. I think the 77-82 temps for this grow will be okay what do you think twin ?
I have a 360cfm on top of my tent pulling cool air from the room directly into my 1000 watt cool tube then vented outside through the window. I then blacked out all incoming light. (2 degrees constant at least). I have a 240 cfm duct fan exhausting the hot air out, bottom of tent has a screen, I keep it open, it's right next to central air vent. For a Sativa dominant strain; those temps are good! Long flowering time though. Sux! I have to flower my widows for 9 weeks! Shell be fat as all out doors! Ima order some autos and grow them in my closet, i have an extra brand new ballast and bulbs. Nice!! Yes these are supposedly 10+ weeks to flower. We'll see.! Next time I'll have that ac in the room. Upgrade fan + light New sturdier Rez And a neater more efficient setup.! Hot day today!! Can't even describe! 108 outside. Tents temp 84 Humidity 40 Ppms 348 Ph 6.2 I raised my Ppms to 415.. Dropped ph to 5.6 Keeps rising back to low 6 range! Day 2 flower They look healthier than ever I feel like .. IT IS WHAT IT IS ! Learn&Grow
Okayyyyy . Came home today and my light was ON. It was suppose too be OFF !! Temps wernt an issue or anything but that damn light was suppose to be off!!! I looked at my timer... It was wayyyyy out of wack.. Close to 3 hours! Someone please respond here.. They should be okay right? Not sure why my timer did this it's new and 2+ hours is a lot to be off.. IT IS WHAT IT IS ! That recently happened to me a couple of days ago, but it stayed on for an additional 8 hours. My recommendation is you should make sure they get a complete 12 hours of dark and then get them back to the exact same cycle.
So turn it off another 12 hours? I'll basically be skipping my whole 12 hours of light for the day. Because my light normally comes back on at 4 am. It's 4 pm now. Really don't like when the simplest things go wrong ! Time to chief IT IS WHAT IT IS ! Learn&Grow
I have done a lot of research and my conclusion is that if you shorten the dark cycle now, they will think that they should get back to veg or hermie. The dark cycle is more important than your light cycle
So turn the lights off for 12 hours? I'm only 3-4 days into 12/12.. Feel like all the light changes would stress them more IT IS WHAT IT IS ! Learn&Grow
Okay so I counted each individual notch on my timer lol(mechanical) It was off for 10 1/2 hours yesterday. I decided to leave them on till 4 am today and will turn back on 4pm Ppm at 378 Ph 5.9 Temps sit at 82 steady with these hot ass days !! They don't seem to mind at all tho.. Humidity at 35-45. Was tucking some branches under the screen and I broke one.. It was hanging on barley. Ill leave it on and watch it recover..
