Got Caught Smoking And Now Im..f8%ked

    i hope this is the correct place to post this because its my first post.
    Background:
    I started smoking weed this year. Not a lot. I smoke daily at night but its usually like a one hitter because that alone skrews me over! :smoke:
    I live in my bedroom which is like a cottage and is separate to my house, so its basically like my own little house.
    And I'm 19 yrs old.
     
    So last night my mom came into my bedroom and could smell that i smoked weed and got so angry. Like she freaked out. She banned me from smoking weed and told me that its dangerous and leads to other drugs and i can die and blah blah blah.
    I know have to sleep with my 16 yr old sister every night just to keep an eye out on me, even though my stash is gone. Me and my girlfriend are not allowed over to the house because she thinks she smokes too, however she is completely innocent (like never even gotten drunk!)
    I have to now have random drug tests till i like move out(i promise you they are not joking about this :cry: )
    And on top of that i really get the sense my parents just gave up on me, like they are avoiding me.
     
    Im about to have a meeting or talk with them and i really don't have a clue what to do. they think I'm addicted and that i should go to rehab to get help but really i know i am no where near being addicted!
     
    Please guys any help would be appreciated, i am desperate!!!!!

    Start telling them the facts, they will probably try to deny it like most people. Educate and school the shit out of your parents, let them know they are wrong.
     
    Ask them what their main problem is and find out what's causing upset, when they try to come back with dumb comments that are completely false let them know the facts, at the end of the day its up to them if they let you smoke though cause you are living with them basically.
     
    If they are still alive 10-20 years from now make sure to call them every day and let them know that you aren't moving onto other drugs and that you're still alive and let them know you smoke on the daily, that they were wrong for so many years. Make sure to every day so they get it dug into their head. Jk about this one, but maybe

    Dude grow some balls and move out. Or just tell your mom to treat you like an adult. I would freak on my mom if she treated me that way when i was 19.

    I know that if i start bringing out the facts they are going to completely disregard them. They see weed as bad. Nothing is good about it in their eyes.
    Today my mom gave me a mini speech about how my marks will become bad and shit. Then i showed her my grades since i started smoking and they increased so much that it shocked her, however she remained silent and said i am killing my self.

     I would love to stand up to them and be the adult i am, but in their eyes I'm still a kid who needs my parents to decide for me. I just know that if i stick up for myself they will destroy me and basically reject me.

    Bring her to your computer and type in has weed ever killed anyone and obviously it will pop up that no one has, and there are many cancer fighting agents within cannabis, if she won't look at them there's something wrong with that lol, you might need to come out rather harsh and say cannabis has never fucking killed anyone, want me to bring you to a medical doctor and have him explain to you that cannabis has never killed anyone, where did you get your information because you are COMPLETELY WRONG ABOUT EVERYTHING, and you look like a fool. Use your own word choice though, imo.

    i think I'm going to try that. And whats worse is my mom use to smoke weed and cigs so much when she was younger and she never got crapped on like me (-_-)

    Thats abuse and they should be arrested for that. You must have lived an extremly sheltered childhood.
     
    Try this: Say "mom your right. I wont smoke pot. I'll try gambling or overeating. Perhaps a life of crime will do me good. But pot is bad."

    Let her know that she is uneducated in the subject and a lot of new scientific research has emerged recently that proves cannabis is completely safe.

    Ya i basically have. Always had to do things behind their back IF i was even willing to take the risk of deciding for myself. And this one time i do and get caught is killing me. I am going to snap soon

    i said that earlier today and all she did was shrug and tell me how next i will be doing coke and mandrax and shit. Like they do not care about any facts or info i present to them, like at all.

    Okay well wish me luck guys, about have the meeting with the rents.

    I would simply ask them if they feel you have been different lately, and let them know there is alot of conflicting information about marijuana, and would like to have an open discussion with them about it and their concerns, while at the same time giving yourself time to share your thoughts.
     
    Its about having an adult conversation between 2 adults, sometimes parents need help thinking of their kids as adults. If they refuse, well at the very least you have shown you act like an adult more so than they can. If you accuse them of being uneducated, it will create a defiant response, its about creating dialogue here, not accusations.

    Send them grannys list. Use the search function and look for "Storm crow" or "Granny" and message her with your email address saying you want her list. She has a microsfot word document containing over 1000 pages of links to medical studies showing the effects of cannabis on people for all different sorts of ailments and conditions. Just dare your patents to read each section of links, it should take them a couple days. If they refuse, tell them they are refusing to accept science and they are living in their own little world of propaganda filled lies.

    okay so quick update!
    My step dad came in and basically told me if either my university or the cops catch me with weed i will mess my future up which i understand. Thats why i never smoke on campus and i only drive to this dealer which basically in short i can see if theres a road block or any cops so I'm safe there.
     
    And he said that i am not allowed to smoke weed in their house which i do agree with.
    And lastly which i was shocked about was that he said it is my decision at the end of the day, they are just trying to guide me as best as they can
     
    So hopefully i can smoke outside my house and be safe. :bongin:

    don't try to tell your parents the facts about weed. they see you as a drug user trying to soften the outlook of their addiction. move out or lay low for a while then use clean piss. and don't smoke at your crib
