Are You Loyal To One City In Your Fandom?

  1. When it comes to pro sports, are you consistent in rooting for one city or do you have teams in different places across the country?

Personally I only root for the NY Rangers and the Knicks. I can't say I'd be a Yankees, Mets, Jets or Giants fan if I followed other sports though.

  2. Yep braves, falcons , and hawks

  3. New York all day errday

  5. Not really. Growing up in Iowa with no professional sports teams, I was heavily influenced by my dad who grew up in Denver and is an avid Colorado anything fan. I will forever be a die hard Broncos fan just because my earliest memories are watching Bronco games with my dad and worshiping John Elway..

But when it came to other sports I was somewhat more influenced by friends who liked more midwestern teams.I loved the Cubs from early on because their triple A team plays in Des Moines where I would often watch games. With basketball I used to like the Nuggs when I was younger because of aforementioned father, but I also loved watching Barkley, Magic, Bird, and Jordan. I just became a big fan of basketball and liking multiple teams rather than devoting my love and passion for just one team.

  6. I am from Minnesota and here our sports teams can really let us down. The one team that I am consistent with and am always following is the Wild. Other than that I don't really follow other sports I just know my favorite teams and watch the playoffs.

  7. Yeah, pretty much.  I was born in Los Angeles, so all my favorite sports teams are from the area:

NHL - KINGS - been a fan since the late 70's
MLB - Angels (They were the Los Angeles Angels in 1961, and the California Angels by the time I was born)
NFL - Rams and Chargers.  I loved the Rams in the 70's when they were pretty good, kept watching them during the Everett years.  Bummed when they left, but then they won the SB.  As for the Chargers, I started watching them in the late 70's during Fouts, then we moved to San Diego in 1980 and you had to watch.  I'm still a Charger fan, more than a Ram fan these days.  Oh and they also started as the Los Angeles Chargers in 1960.
NBA - Don't care, but i guess the Lakers.

College Sports - UCLA. - My Dad was class of 74.  I was class of '06.

  8. St. Louis all the way. The only two sports I watch is baseball and hockey so naturally I'm a huge Blues and Cardinals fan. I'll cheer for the Rams and hope they do good but I've just never been a fan of football. Hockey on the other hand, I can tell you anything you wanna know about the Blues.

  9. Not even close. I live in NY and the only team I care for is the Yankees and I stopped watching baseball when I was 12.
    Miami Dolphins
    Denver Nuggets

  10. I'm a fan of Boston teams although I don't really follow basketball or baseball that close. I'm definitely a pats and bruins fan although I like some teams from other cities too like the KC Chiefs and NY Rangers.

  11. I'm from at Louis area and like the cardinals but my favorite team is the Yankees. Football I like the falcons not much of a hockey fan but would like to see the blues win and I don't really have a favorite basketball fan. I like players more than teams

  12. used to be but less n less now.

    shit's all bought anyway

  13. Nope. I mean I love my Wildcat Basketball, But I'm a bama football fan. As for NBA and NFL I don't have a favorite team, just love watching the game in general.. I guess I'm more of a fan of sport in general than specific teams.

  14. yeah, i'm still repping the Hartford Whalers

  15. Yeah man I root for my home teams to win. My grandfather would rise from the dead and kick my ass if I didn't. It's good for the entire surrounding areas. It makes people happy and brings a sense of comradery to the area.

    GO FLYERS!!!!

  16. Kind of, NY Giants fan (born into that,) but then Im split with the rest of my family, Boston Celtics, Redsoxs, and Bruins (not big into hockey, fun to watch might as well go Boston on em again.) By the way, Its funny how many Heat "fans" have to go dig up their Cleveland jerseys this season.

  17. UNLV....but other than that, Vegas made it easy to pick any teams you really wanted. Been a Steeler and Laker fan for quite some time now. The history of the teams is what is interesting to me.

  18. I mostly watch one sport, so yeah, Washington (Capitals).

I do watch a few Cincinnati Reds games a year, but I don't really consider myself a fan.

  19. No, but I kinda wished I was. I always still root for my local teams. (Minnesota)
